Grounds for Divorce 19:45 - Oct 16 with 8021 viewsNoDiddley

By Mel Huckridge aka sonofnorfolt.
Read it a while back & decided to read it again & second time around its funnier.
A good QPR content as expected & some classic lines such as his take on running coaches
“ Originally I had no birds or kids rule, but this is neither clever or profitable. We don’t show porn on the screens any more. This is a shame , as it normally quietens down a noisy bus, and large bets are taken on who would be the first to make for the toilet. Last time it was the driver.”
The copy I picked up from world of books is signed To Simon You R’s Mel
Is Simon on here?

I contacted Peter Dinklage to play Sharpy, and 100% is more likely to get Oliver Hardy.
The deal was I believe, that I was to headline Hammersmith Odeon first.

Huddersfield away a few years back (1-1) would have deserved a chapter on its own.

That coach was in August 2013, and could be mentioned in the new book only because a future International footballer was on it, Chris Mepham.

Thanks for the orders lads, I have to get some more envelopes.

I would like to stress that although the book is available on Amazon I would prefer it if buyers ordered it direct from myself. Cheaper and easier and the tax dodgers don't take a cut.

You can order one from Amazon but it costs more and it has come through me anyway.
Generally, I post the same day if ordered direct, but when I can be bothered from Amazon

quoting £59.95 + £2.85 pp for a used one on Amazon. Think they throw in the book as well

just bought a copy from Mel and looking forward to reading it. Was out with the wife when he called, she asked who was that?

Told her just a Rangers mate selling a book about qpr, didn't tell her what the tittle was though no point fanning the flames.

also Bernard Cornwall has never personally called me when I've bought one of his books git

What a coach that was.

Flew back from Egypt that morning and had a quick dash to Hemel Hempstead services to wait for your pick up. Spent the majority of the journey sat by the toilet with about 5 others as it was window to window full.

Remember stopping off in a lovely little pub en route to Huddersfield, as always the locals were't too impressed!

We stopped in Holmfirth, Last of the summer wine country on the way there.
It was on the way back when we stopped near the Peak District that I don't think we'll be asked back again.

No time like the present

For anyone else that requires that personal touch, I shall be prostituting myself in the Crown and Sceptre both before and after tomorrow's match armed with copies of GFD, so feel free to say hello.

I suggest you get it translated into German & do a book signing over there?
They’d love it🍻

No Germans but plenty of Serbs and Norwegians going down the Crown and Sceptre tomorrow. I need Google translate book version.

That was a great coach along with the Burnley trip of the same season

If the Lens trip isn't in the new book then I will be disappointed !!

I still have my copy of this expansive, football-related yarn. Purchased under only a moderate amount of duress in, I believe, late August of whatever the year was that Mel could be identified, from the other end of any bar, by the giant sack of literature perched on his shoulder. Will look forward to the forthcoming sequel/prequel...

A Chinese burn, I've found, is an effective technique to enhance a potential sale. This, I learnt, at a young age, from a course taken, 'Selling with menaces'.

Keep the orders coming you fine people, I'm hoping to surpass, with this spell of sales, more than our lack of victories at Forest, 35.

The first class post costs £1.87, added to that an A5 envelope and the extreme effort it takes to find a Post Office these days.
In addition the dog eared pages and other stubborn stains acquired during toilet reading you are better off procuring a crisp new copy from myself.

26 sold recently, another 10 or so and I'll be happy.

Last push for now.

I will armed and dangerous with soft back books both pre and post match tonight.

I thank you.
