We played Spurs. And Dad took me to Rangers for the first time. I can still remember almost everything about it, parking in the White City Estate, him buying me a badge and rosette (which I still have) from a stall in South Africa Road. A burger from the van behind the Loft. Actually seeing the players in the flesh for the first time (I knew them all by sight from football cards and television). It was so exciting. 50 years. Bloody hell. [Post edited 8 Nov 11:54]

Yeah, some variation on that. "He wasn't even English ... he was a Turk ... he never even came to England etc'. |

I wonder who's going to be first to say it. |

Proud to have known George. That game we were in the executive box v Preston. Rubbish game, losing 0-2 after 90 minutes and we drew 2-2. Glad we shared that. Really sorry Danny. Sending strength. |

Love Seasick Steve. Missus got us tickets to see him at Wembley Arena a few years back. He arrived in a John Deere tractor, which he parked outside. Most of the set was him and a percussionist, but at one stage he was joined by a singer he heard busking and liked so invited her along. There were a couple of drunks causing a fuss a few rows in front of us, who refused to leave so had to be dragged out. That was fun to watch. Then a fight kicked off in the stalls, and Steve stopped playing and said "Whoa Whoa, what's going on down there? Do I have to come down there and kick yo ass?". Music was full of energy so even if it isn't your normal listen you should still be able to feed off the buzz. Great night out, though am predisposed to a bluesman called Steve.
