My son's a Liverpool fan. On Wednesday, I told him that there was a choice between watching the Liverpool Champions League match or the QPR Championship match in the Living Room. I suggested that I wouldn't put him through the torment of enduring another Liverpool performance, so told him I'd be watching the QPR match in the Living Room and he could do whatever he liked. He chose to watch the Liverpool game elsewhere.
With 10 minutes to go in the QPR match, he poked his head into the Living Room and said "I see you're enjoying your night more than I am!". There is a part of me that feels sorry for him and saying "welcome to the what it feels like to support a normal football team". Another part of me did say that "I looked at the top half of the Premiership Table and didn't see Liverpool there, don't worry, Big Sam is putting his CV together, he'll keep you up!" |  | | |
