I fully believe in the ability of an idea, thought or a self belief improving the possibility of an outcome. It doesn't always work as a couple of beers in, I am close to being the best Darts player in the world despite still averaging 45. At the top level though we are talking marginal gains and they are important. You constantly tell athletes that a three game week will be hard, especially with two away trips then it will contribute to a performance like yesterday. Slow, sluggish, low intensity; a direct contrast to Norwich, who beat us fundamentally because they tried harder, not because they were "better". No changes outfield was utterly insane if you believed that this third game would be so hard because of the travelling. Maybe not mention how hard it all is constantly next time? | |
