There's just no pleasing some of our fans
Our ownership are doing their very best to improve the match day experience.
Some will choose to stay in local pubs, Costa etc that's the benefit of choice.

I dare say that the aspect of the "match day experience" most people are interested in and would prefer that the club concentrate on is what happens on the pitch.
The club aren't doing this as a favour to the fans. They're trying to generate extra income by encouraging people to get to the ground earlier, leave later, and spend money there instead of at other local venues.
There's nothing wrong with that, but in my view they are unlikely to change many people's habits, especially if the beer & food is of a higher price and a lower quality than can be obtained elsewhere, which thus far in the entire existence of the stadium has proven to be the case. The type of supporters attending the Swansea.com is miles away from the market that attended the Vetch. We now have a more family based support with a higher percentage of Women and Children attending, I would also add possibly more affluent. I see no problem with the club trying to generate extra revenue if it is available but personally I don't think it will be for me. We often eat before the game either booking a table or going somewhere we we know we can just turn up and eat, if there is no room we go somewhere else. I can't see this being possible at the fan zone and can't go onto somewhere else if it full. The only other option would be to go very early to get a seat and that doesn't appeal either. Yes we will try it, but we are very specific in our needs. So possibly not the target market. | | | |

Fan Zone - over inflated prices for crap fayre to rip off punters some more. A Corner shop sells a soft drink for say ÂŁ1.50 (and they are making money) Fanzone it would be well over double that. Food outlets are the same - RIPOFF - no from me thanks. |  | | |

My only experience of a fan zone was at Manchester City quite a few years ago now when we played up there. After a longish walk from the city centre we found the fan park pretty decent. Good choice of ales at reasonable prices with food from around the world available. Home & away fans mixed without any hassle and with it being Manchester some pretty decent live music on offer. Definitely better than what was available inside the stadium or the nearby housing estates |  | | |

As mentioned by some above price, quality and choice is key to whether this is a success or not. Plenty of seating would be nice too
