He tired himself out by punching the other guy’s chin too much !!
Hrgovic has to have one of the most granite made chins in boxing history.
There was no need for Itauma to be so intense with his punches, as he had won the first 6 rounds anyway.
A smarter trainer would have instructed him to have had a couple of breather rounds, especially as he’d never gone over 6 rounds, and he was so young for a fight with a known experienced fighter, who happened to have an unbelievable rock solid chin.
Itauma boxed himself out of that fight, 100% down to his coach, and team.
It’s the hardest game on the planet, and he’s just learned the hard way.
What a fantastic prospect though, and he will still go on to unify the heavyweight belts. |  | | |

He'll take 6 months or more to recover from last night, it was a daft choice of an opponent Hrgovic is a top 6 fighter who has fought the best, Itauma should have have been advised better and Warren can take the blame for that, although he was in a win win situation so no doubt he slept well last night.
Those comparing him to Mike Tyson of the same age were daft, Tyson's movement angles of punches were far better and on top of that he was extremely fit Itauma wasn't, he had blown some decent fighters away, but he was not ready for the likes of Hrgovic.
Not sure that he can come back from that, needs a good rest and a reality check and realise that he's not gonna blow allcomers away in a few round, needs to learn his trade. | | | |

Hrgovic is one tough cookie, Itauma hit him with the kitchen sink and couldn't budge him.
I also reckon that Hrgovic's glove touching down was because of slip rather than anything else. [Post edited 30 Aug 16:16]

He puts so much energy into throwing his punches, plus he has not gone past 6 fights in his career up until last night, his conditioning of what he had started to leave him at round 4 his legs were getting heavy then, he hardly tried to grab hold of Hrgovic and have a breather. He has only 6 knock outs on his record the rest of the stoppages were by tko not ko, Hrgovic grinds his opponents down through pressure durability and strenth, he has never been a ko artist that is why he has only 6 knock outs on his record, so it's not a 76% knockout record when most of his opponents were stopped on there feet, now I know you proberbly come across these stats on some Boxing outlet but try not to confuse a ko to a tko and try not to believe everything you see on these outlets without checking the facts. Ko or Tko is still a stoppage 16 ko's it is.

You have not got a clue you header, a TKO is not a knock out, it's a stoppage buy taking to much punishment not acually being knocked out, there are reasons one is called a TKO and the other a KO simple really isn't it, you need to try and control this ego of yours, you know your wrong yet again, but cannot accept being wrong lol | | | |
