Have human rights for murderers gone too far?
at 19:36 3 Jan 2026

There's a whole network of lawyers including Blair and Starmer who seem to think that the law is there to be interpreted rather than upheld.

Venezuela

The 'accepted' way of dealing with the likes of Maduro is a load of debate in the UN followed by sanctions that penalise ordinary people, having a quicker way of getting out rogue leaders who ignore or over ride democratic processes seems to be needed.
Having said that Trump has just driven a coach and horses through the US democratic processes and has taken Maduro. Let's hope there are not groups of armed idiots ready to start chaos in Venezuela.

The Scottish Premier League has been a good story this year, not least because of the high expectations in Glasgow.

Celtic and Rangers both on 38 points
at 14:35 3 Jan 2026

Rangers have lost two games all season on the league, Celtic fans going mad, Russell getting the boot quickly puts more pressure on Nancy and Martin O'Neil will be thinking about another trip to Glasgow. Danny Rohl will be pleased to be out of Wednesday.
Meanwhile Lissah and Wilson are doing well at Falkirk.

Looks like our politicians are struggling to come up with a coherent response to this, Polanski muttering about ' human rights or something' and Starmer wanting to 'establish the facts as he has not been consulted '. Farage says ' it's a breach of international law and could be a good thing '.

No doubt Eluned will say all Venezuelan people are welcome to come to Wales.

Sums up what has happened to the legal system, lawyers interpreting law to bring cases which are beyond reason and they pick up £234,000 in fees! Judges are falling over backwards to allow this nonsense rather than booting out such cases and reprimanding those who bring them to court.

Not everyone can afford a heat pump and all the associated changes, poorly thought out policies seem to be a hallmark of this Government.

U Turn on Farm Inheritance Tax

That's part of the problem, idiots in Government thinking that everyone who owns a farm is on the make rather than understanding that 99 percent of family farms produce food on thin margins

Rowett has a reasonable track record in the Championship, there's a small budget at Oxford, this could end up making things worse.

A good evenings entertainment, full house, lots of noise, a pantomime villain or two, crap ref, some skill and some cock ups, handbags on the touchline, winning in the last few minutes. I enjoy games like this, imperfect but so much better than sideways and backwards football.

Getting out of the Championship is difficult, plenty of clubs have spent a lot of money without success.
