I'm sure I read somewhere a while back that Malcolm taught Angus his first few chords when they were kids, either way It's very sad news.
RIP Malcolm Young, you soughta brought the Gretch double cut guitar back to the mainstream.

Incredible guitar player and musician. The older Young brother died last month so sad times for them. Saw them countless times since the first time I watched them in 1977 in the Red Cow in Hammersmith.

Respect for the family, a great loss.

Sad news, obviously. A very under-rated musician; one of those solid guys who define the sound of the band and produce the hooks and the rhythm, rather than the twiddly bits - not knocking the latter, bit for some reason the Malcolm Youngs of this world don't seem to get the respect they deserve.

So true. It was always easy to focus on Bon Scott's singing or the schoolboy providing flashy licks while spinning on the floor, but Malcolm really was 'it'.

Suffered from dementia the last few years...sad, sad way to go.
