Yeh, aim to play 30 yards further up the field. Do the side to side thing by all means, but it makes a big difference if you're doing it 40 yards from their goal and probing, as opposed to 40 yards from ours while they stand and wonder what the fck we're doing.

The side to side thing at the back does work if it is done quickly and interspersed with a forward pass. Far too often in the last three games, everyone can see the pattern of play and where the next pass will (eventually) go. Dickie moving in to space ahead of him and Barbet diags coming off. I still think we miss De Wijs. As much as I rate Dunne, we are less organised and calm with him in the middle. But he's not here so maybe Sanderson for Dickie tmrw? I worry that Warbs thinks Barbet will be the most likely to make way. But, his natural left foot makes him indispensable IMO. Something has to change and hopefully its back to one up top and extra bodies in the mf.
