Newcastle's spending 15:21 - Aug 26 with 1318 viewsRangersDave

An awful lot of money, when you consider just how many teams can be truly successful in the premiershyte.

£63m for Isak today , just 1 example.

Good player Isak, I'd rate that as value in today's market.

I think they've been surprisingly sensible so far - Matt Targett, Nick Pope and Sven Botman are all decent players who will see Newcastle as a step up.

An FM22 signing.

I'd wager the phrase "we don't want to do a QPR" has been uttered a few times in the Newcastle boardroom this summer.

High potential, young and hungry players on the way up not washed out big time charlies on the way down.

Seems obvious in hindsight - if only we knew :-(

Yes, Eddie Howe and their DoF (or whatever his title is) seem to have their heads screwed on as opposed to our lot when we were there.

I know it is Saudi money, but I want them to knock Liverpool, Man City, Man Utd and Chelsea off their perch until the next club enters the big spenders group.

They'll certainly want as strong a season as possible so as not to be left off the next set of Super League plans when they come around.
