if you don’t want your car damaged, park in front of their goal.

Was recommended the Marina area on another thread but the away ground guide says plenty of cheap evening parking around and the station car park isn’t far away. Fully expect a quick getaway when leaving on 70 minutes as the third goes in too.

This might be of help.

1) If possible use the station car park (more expensive) than any of the public car parks as they can be a nightmare to get out from. The station car park charge would be £6 after 16.00, but I don't know what the charge is from before that time.

2) Don't use the main route out of Ipswich towards the A12, on a bad day this could take an hour. Although it is possible that the police would block all the joining roads to give you free passage.

3) From the station car park, turn left & continue to the major crossroads/traffic lights (left to the A12). Turn left to travel towards the A12.
Going straight over the lights onto Hadleigh Road might be quicker. Continue until you reach a T Junction traffic lights (end of the road).
Turn right towards Hadleigh.
Turn left at the next roundabout (not far away) towards Washbrook & Copdock.
Continue to the end of the road (two very winding bends). You will reach a dual carriageway that you can cross (the original A12).
Turn right towards Capel St Mary & join the A12.

4) Alternatively, go back to the pub until 23.00 earliest!

For street parking , the Hadleigh Road area would probably be best, although a half hour walk should find some spaces on the Chantry Estate. If using Chantry, Robin Drive would be the best means of joining the A12.
The roads off of Bramford Road/ Bramford Lane are another option.

Excellent advice from Terry, there will be a lot of traffic congestion, it's football fever in the Town, getting in and out is slow leave enough time.

If you choose the Bramford Road or Lane option a lot of the side roads are narrow and full with Residents parking, just further up is the Norwich road and there might be spaces off the Norwich road.
If you choose either of those options you walk to the A1214 Yarmouth road turn right and walk down to the Mermaid, walk across the lights to W End road and it's a short distance to Sir Alf Ramsey Way on your left, as you've guessed walk up there to the stadium.....
