Imagine coming all the way up, only to find out we don’t do set piece routines. |

Arctic Roll. Part of a staple diet in the 70’s, not seen it in 50 years but the wife recently rustled up one from Lidl or B&M or the like, it was smashing. |

If they’d changed their name to Chelsea or City they’d have walked away unscathed. Right decision though as it directly impacted their opposition. |

Think we’ve bled that one dry. I’m disappointed Nourry didn’t negotiate 20% of Charlie Austin’s podcast. |

The Scottish scousers cheating their way to another league title followed by the blue scum versus the other blue scum for the cup. It’s never ending. |

Does he realise that voluntarily cordoning off layers of seats at the front of lower school end and converting that section to home rather than away supporters is costing the club somewhere between £500k and £1m a season? 47 grand seems somewhat piffling by comparison. |

Think the new rules would have gained approval if 16/24 voted in favour. As it was 20/24 in favour, whether we did or didn’t wouldn’t make any difference to the outcome. I don’t think it will adversely affect us any more than the present system. If you’ve got a bigger ground you likely earn greater income which invariably goes on player salaries, that happens now. The only difference is instead of us all averaging 100% salaries to income, it now has to be 85% of salaries to income, an element of sanity at last. As a club we made a long term decision to stand still, 40 years and counting. Clubs across the country have made a concerted effort to invest in their infrastructure, we chose not to. That’s the only story here. |

Makes more sense as the club should be able to work out their position before the start of any season plus they’ll also have the wriggle room of the owner throwing in £10 million, which might come in handy if you find yourself in January with a chance of promotion. Basically means you can lose as much money as you want so long as your player costs don’t exceed 85% of your income. Given player costs are the number one expense that is unlikely to be an issue. Got to be better than sweating on losses accumulated over three rolling years although it wouldn’t be a surprise if we make a mess of this. |

As it stands, Boro have been cheated and the only way that can be rectified is by disqualifying Southampton and putting Boro in the final. Frustrating as stuck any free bets received on Soton to go up a few months back. They can’t be allowed to getaway with this though and anything other than a Boro reprieve doesn’t do that. |

Hull will need double training sessions, one for Soton and one for Boro. Classic |

On the other hand, you could argue that clubs where the owners refuse to invest in their support base, in the form of bigger stadium, better facilities, seating fit for the 21st Century, beer that isn’t just warm Carlsberg, pies that don’t hermetically seal to the roof of your mouth, remove the bar from season ticket holders and point those same fans onto a cold concourse, are about to reap what they sow. We’re a forgiving bunch but you can’t get past the fact that we’ve been treated like shit for too long. Of course they could actually pay attention, sort those issues I’ve mentioned and then, perhaps, the club will deserve the opportunity to compete. |

If we’re loaning development squad players to non league football doesn’t that imply we already know they’re not going to make it at championship level? I’d like to see a reformation of the old combination league. Easier to keep tabs on our own players, new and old, a proper opportunity for injured first teamers to play themselves back into match standard competitiveness alongside younger players who also gain a feel of that level of football. Seems the likes of Chair and Poku virtually disappear off the map until they literally return to the team. Fans would also be able to chart where they are rather than this cloak of anonymity that pervades their comebacks at present. The modern set up doesn’t seem to do anyone a service. |

Still haunted by this years visual atrocity. Next visit I’ll be guided by my son, to and from the ground, wearing a bag over my head. If the benevolent version of our team turns up I may also keep it on for the full 90 minutes. |

I can’t stand VAR, ruins the game for the most part. Quite how it took six minutes to cone to that decision, albeit correct, defies belief. But as much as I don’t want VAR, a fouls a foul and this was a foul. |
