5. Queens Park Rangers

The concourses may be too cramped and the design easily dismissed as being akin to a shoebox but I love visiting Loftus Road, with its steep stands and spikiness making for a winning combination.
It’s one of those grounds where fans feel to be on top of the action, even when sitting in the one-tier Stanley Bowles Stand that runs down the Ellerslie Road side. Several underground stations to choose from, too, to ensure getting there and away is not a problem.
There’s precious little room here for expansion, something that has led to chatter from time to time about a possible move away from west London’s Shepherd’s Bush district. I hope that never comes to pass, as football would lose something very special.
