Desreved call up.
I thought the fact Kemper got an injury, meant that we would not be moving Adamson onwards, as he then has stayed, as cover was needed ie Cirkin and Lamptey both being eased back into the fold.
That may or may not have been the case, but his improvement on both sides of the defence has been impressive. Been really impressed with him, when my view was him and Esquerdinha were on the same pathway.
Playing Brazil used to be the ultimate international opposition, but they have not been supreme for some time now.
Hope he gets some time on the pitch and plays well.

When I first saw him play a year ago, he looked totally unsuited to the Championship. Diving in and being walked around by an L1 winger was not a good look.
But fair play to him as he looks a completely different beast now. Like a brand new signing. Congratulations to him on the call up. | |

The difference between them is that you could tell Madsen was technically a very good player but he struggled with his confidence. Adamson didn’t look to have anything about him at all for this level so, for me, his turnaround has been far more of a surprise. | |

I was going to post something exactly like this, even as recently as the pre season games I thought he looked terrible, just didn't seem to have any of the fundamentals to play full back in the Championship. I've been really encouraged that the Portsmouth game wasn't a one off and he's found a new level in his appearances since, long may that upwards trajectory continue. Stephan seems to have found some trust in him now as it felt like he only used him begrudgingly last season.
I'm on record saying he's awful, so want to give credit where it's due and congratulations to him. [Post edited 18 Sep 23:00]

Was he really given a chance last season? He had what 7 games and 6 of these were off the bench. Pretty certain spread out over a season too. | | | |

Think the defence stability as a lot to do with Charles. Being a defender knowing you gave someone of his quality behind you certainly helps your game
