The new manager might get a bigger "war chest" to spend on players to justify Uncle Tonys decision

Assuming the money is spent in the right way and the "new manager syndrome" has the desired affect, this may end up saving our season

I liked Neil Warnock

I've found a team sheet for the weekend - anyone interested ?

The alternative is that the timing was orchestrated to enable a two week delay in appointing someone and as such delay the amount of time to spend money. Then they can lament the limited time allowed in the window for the new manager having spent nothing. Would also explain the timing of the takeover.

Anyone think the O'Neill at Sunderland effect has had an influence?

They could reappoint NW and see if it has the new manager effect?

Never knowingly right.

TF's been out tapping up managers for some time imho,a very swift decision otherwise why no caretaker appointed?
This thing about not picking someone like Curbs wh's been out of the game "too long".Someone like that will have kept the old finger on the pulse and will probably have been rejuvenated by the rest. It's a different thing from a player being out for a bit.
Maybe.

Poll: So how was the season for you?
