Love that Tuchel says he's not happy with the performance. He knows we have to play better to get further. I like that.

Such a lack of intent, movement and positivity. We've always got a good chance with Kane and Bellingham but, much like Rangers, we seem to wait until we're a goal down to actually play a bit of football.

Crying shame to have a pitch with that much quality on it (not you Ronaldo) play such unambitious, risk free, boring as fck, possession football. To see a midfield of Portugals incredible ability passing it backwards and sideways like a Varane/Field tribute act is a crime against sport.

Only silver lining is I don't have to see stupid Ronaldo with his stupid fu*king face and his stupid fu*king weird head and his permanently self obsessed fu*king ego waddling around the pitch or looking mortally offended when substituted.
"I'm back"
No you're not, now fu*k off forever.

Live Nations rugby. - Score Spoiler free
at 18:47 5 Jul 2026

I know it's just copying UEFA's Nations league to make more money out of friendlies but the New Zealand v France game was amazing rugby.

The commitment to running the ball, off loads, the passing, the lines and general movement. Incredible. The athleticism, skill, precision, smooth acceleration through the gaps and the sheer 80 minute relentlessness. I can only remember about 4 box kicks!

I think it's on ITVX, highly, highly recommend a look for fans of either code. Great rugby is great rugby.

AUS V Ireland was just as good. Haven't seen the England game but I'm not expecting much.

It's no good Tuchel screaming at Tottenham's reserve left back who he decided to bring while Alexander Arnold is lying on a lounger in Bali.

Madueke and Spence are winding me right up. 2 attacks in a row they had a chance for 1 of them to put a cross in. Refused both times with everyone in there for a cross.

The tactics need to be less sophisticated and more Millwall. Less fannying around and get the ball into the box. You've got Kane and Bellingham, 2 of the best in the world and getting on the end of crosses. Throw in Rice and even OReilly arriving and it's our best chance. Rashford cutting inside onto his right foot to be immediately met with FOUR defenders to block his 'shot' is not working.

As the Ghana game showed it is extremely difficult to break them down through the middle with 11 men camped so deep behind the ball.

The weakness is crosses so move the ball quickly and get the ball in there.

Greatest Sporting Commentators

Benaud and Boycott were the perfect combination. I know he rubbed many up the wrong way but I loved a Boycott rant.

Barry Davies, pure class.
Peter Alliss, unlike a lot of people I enjoy the humorous off tangent wafflers in the slower sports. I'm not even a big golf fan.
John Madden, the NFL governor.

These days I think Andrew Cotter is very good. Multiple sports (like Barry Davies), great mix of knowledge and dry humour.

Also David Flatman on the Rugby, knows his stuff but happy to not take it all too seriously.

I dont know if it's because Ronnie is looking deep into my eyes whilst wearing it but that kit is much more like it for me. The subtle hoops and it hides the logo. Nice.

Stand in the middle of the sitting room with Classical music playing full blast conducting, with an actual baton, to a non existent orchestra. For committed periods of time too, not a couple of minutes just for the laughs. Serious business.
