There was that great episode when the geophys showed what looked like the end of a Roman temple but on closer examination was the lines for the penalty area of a football pitch
I'd reiterate what MickS said about May being hot in Budapest.
I found that the smart thing was to treat it like a Mediterranean country - get up as soon as it's light, go out and do something touristy (most other tourists won't have got going), have a nice lunch (food, wine and beer all excellent) then have a bit of a doze somewhere cool (Margit Island was good for that) maybe with an ice cream, before going out in the evening.
Too long since I've been there for recommendations I'm afraid, when I was there Victor Orban was the great hope of the liberals and his party was mainly made up of students.
That West Ham video really took me back, what a great side.
And that was a performance without Wilkins - some very decent football played by Holloway, Barker and even Dennis Bailey in the midfield there, alongside the stellar stuff from Wilson and Wegerle.
Massive mistake by Francis not to be a bit more understanding of Wegerle and build a partnership of him and Les IMO.
He arrived as a big young central defender from Dundalk with a cropped head, it's always easy to assume that sort of player its strong but "limited".
If things go badly for them, there isn't the sort of hope that you could have with, say, Willock, that (however pissed off you were with him) the talent might come through again. It's easy to write the big kids off as "League 1 at best" and assume you can replace them.
The revelation is that this boy can really play. Super pleased for him.
(b) players who are concentrating on there own tasks in the game can see,
and
(c) what the match officials, who are positioned specifically to have a good view, who are trained to look for infringements, and who aren't physically or emotionally involved in a contest, ought be able to spot.
If you're going to have a game dedicated to Stan, I suppose a thriller with victory snatched from us and everyone calling the ref a c*nt is pretty appropriate.
Plus, I don't actually mind Leicester, never have done. Time was when we had Allen up front, they had Lineker, plenty of so-called Big Clubs couldn't cope. Same sort of scuzzy feel about the place as Shepherds Bush (without our natural wit sophistication and charm, obvs.)
All the great managers seem to have the knack of getting every player to know what their role is. The exact same players look better because they are getting on with their job, starting with the simple things, plus they trust the other guys to do theirs and don't hare off out of position to fix other players' screw-ups.
Obviously you still get beaten by better sides, the more complicated things don't always come off for more limited players, but that's normal, no-one is screaming at each other about that.
