| Forum Reply | Now Kate Middleton has cancer! at 11:21 23 Mar 2024
Her diagnosis sounds similar to my wife 4 years ago during lockdown. She had major abdominal surgery and we found out later it was a tumour blocking her bowel. Once removed, cancer was gone, but they put her on 3 months of chemotherapy as a precautionary measure. Brutal process but given the option, she didn’t think twice. Positive mindset and today she is as fit and well. Scary times for us though. I wish Kate and family all the best and hope that they are left alone to deal with this tough recovery process ahead. Unfortunately I don’t think that will happen, and the press and media will be looking for any angle. Paparazzi will be out in force trying to get the vital pictures. And then there’s the internet where there are no rules and anyone is fair game to the keyboard warriors. Sending my love and best to anyone who is suffering form this disease x |

Got a sneaky feeling we are going to get something from this game. Don’t know why, maybe it’s their arrogance and perhaps they think this will be a rollover for them. 1-2 to QPR my gut. I’ll post again Saturday evening to eat humble pie after getting a tonking 😂 |
| Forum Reply | Car Insurance at 15:27 18 Feb 2024
This in a nutshell. Renewed mine in December and it had doubled. No claims, ok I had 3 points and I drive an Audi S5, but double!! I was told it’s the prices of parts and lead times, it’s easier for them to write off a car even with minor damage than repair. Was also told it’s the increase of cost of repairing electric cars. I explained that i don’t drive and electric car but that’s irrelevant. In short it’s the insurance companies jumping on the inflation bandwagon and there is absolutely f all you can do about it. |

Taken ill and in hospital the day the press say he’s getting the sack. Always seems a gentleman in a vicious industry. Lives near where my wife works in Richmond and she often sees him. Doesn’t know him but he always says hello. Roy mate, retire and enjoy the rest of your days without the stress of football management. |

Killing Joke guitarist gone. I’m saw KJ at the Albert Hall in March and he was amazing, just stunning on his Gibson. |

They started selling that in my local, The Flower Pot in Lower Sunbury. £6.50 a pint but it’s not bad. Doubt it’s Spanish though, but like Madri that is marketed as from Madrid but it’s actually brewed and packaged in Tadcaster! Went to a pub in Notting Hill the other week pre Rangers and we were paying 7:50 a pint, but they only were selling lesser known craft stuff. £15 a round of 2 drinks is hard to take. |

From my calculations we can only go up 1 place assuming we have a +3 goal difference in a win tomorrow or Reading get the points deduction. Wigan will stay bottom even if they beat us, but get themselves a point gap nearer Blackpool if they lose. Charity Park Rangers alert to give Wigan a fighting chance and make it scarier for us. Anyway that’s the positive vibe for today 🙄 |
| Forum Reply | Anyone been to Venice ? at 08:45 8 Mar 2023
As others have said, get lost in the maze of alleyways. There’s more to Venice than canals. You can find yourself squeezing down an alley no wider than your shoulders to emerge in a beautiful (and at this time of the year, quiet) piazza. We went mid March as well and it’s just perfect. Didn’t think it was that overpriced but we did our homework and ate at trattoria’s further out from the centre. Tip: buy a vaparetto pass for the water taxi to last your stay but remember to validate the ticket every time you get on the boat, otherwise you’ll get a big fine. And being a tourist is no excuse, they don’t mess about and it’s instant pay up. |

I reckon Derry may be asked to just get us through the season and stay up. Longer term appointment can be sourced or if he does a good job, gets the full time gig? Currently at 9-1 on skybet. |

Heart says 1-2 to us, head says 2-0 to them. Andy Carroll has signed a new contract with them and I suspect they will play an academy player who has never been in the first team and not scored since he was at junior school only to bag a worldy against us. As that’s what we do. Waiting for Ted’s vitriol to appear on this thread. Hope you’re ok mate. |
