There is some pride in there with regards to seeing through a new training ground and new ground. There is possibly an affiliation with the club now. The good work that the club does locally, including things like the Tiger Cubs and Grenfell support.
Again in my opinion I think we went in a wrong direction when Warnock was let go and we tried to play Fantasy Football with all the millions the Prem offered. I don't think it was done with malice or any intentions to hurt the club. I think lessons have been learned, the hard way, and we are now on a better path with trying to bring through youth and lower league players. Will take a lot of patience on our side to give them time to make the club sustainable while maintaining Championship status. I think Warburton is a good appointment. Mistakes are still being made with the McLaren appointment, but mistakes will be made along the way. I am hopeful for the future long term. We could do a lot worse with the owners we have now and they have written a lot of debt off, albeit most of the debt they created. As owners go, there are worse out there for sure and certainly the previous owners were a nightmare.
Was scouted playing for Park Lane in the Hayes & Harlington District boys league in 1982 by a QPR Scout. My Dad and me jumped on the 207 from Hayes to the stop outside William Hill and the trials took place over a few sessions on the plastic pitch down the road from the stadium. I didn't feel out of place there but there were kids that were really pushy and seemed to be confident, whereas I was like a rabbit in the headlights. At the end of the sessions over 4 weeks they took us into the offices at Loftus Rd and took our details, and said would contact you soon. No contact. I don't know of anyone on the sessions I was on that made it. I never really believed I could be come a pro footballer. The only time I ever thought that there are players here that are at a different level was when I played against the likes of Paul Merson and Mick Bodley and they were at a different level. Played with them a couple of times at District level also and you could see they were really good players. By the way the scout for QPR..……...Chris Gieler. (shudder)
Oasis-Beatles cover band Funniest video I have seen is of Noel Gallacher being pushed off stage and then Liam pretending he is going to deck the fella while waiting for the security to come on. (1.30 in)
Smiths-Always thought Morrisey was the end of a bell and it turns out he really is. Queen Paul Weller- Liked a couple of Jam songs (Precious being one) but he gets on my wick. Phil Collins-Another in Paradise? But in the meantime I will farc off to a tax haven. Get out of it.
