Loads in our group are not bothering with this one. We saw the contempt that Stephan showed towards the cup last season. If the club can’t be bothered with the cup and are just going to use it to play a load of 16 and 17 year olds then f**k them. We would rather spend our money elsewhere. Just wished one year we had a board / manager who would take the cup seriously. You just never know how we might do. We won’t be going up so it would be nice to have a cup run.

Summer transfer rumours 2026
at 11:56 9 Jul 2026

The gk position was arguably the biggest area to address this summer. Unfortunately none of our keepers are good enough for the Championship. Get some money for Cooper. Walsh needs to rebuild his confidence and get a move. Hopefully Charles and the Motherwell keepers are an upgrade.

Only QPR could have a player at another club in their kit and we haven’t even announced his departure!! We are so amateurish at times. At least give him the farewell he deserves.

WLS - Deal Agreed to Sell Field to Norwich

The likes of Field and Cook are the kind of guys that you need in your squad. Let’s hope we have some players lined who are better. Only really Dunne left who has that experience for this level. Chair is always injured these days and his best days are behind him. Let’s hope we make some signings soon.

What AI thinks of the Boy…

If QPR complete the move, I would classify Boy Kemper as a sensible Championship signing rather than a high-upside star signing.

Recent reports indicate QPR have agreed a three-year deal for the 26-year-old Dutch left-back after his season with NAC Breda in the Eredivisie.

What kind of player is he?

Kemper is an old-school left-back:

* Physically strong (1.85m)
* Aggressive in duels
* Good work rate and leadership qualities (NAC captain)
* Decent crosser and set-piece contributor
* Not especially quick
* Not particularly elegant in possession compared with modern attacking full-backs

Dutch supporters frequently describe him as hard-working, combative and annoying to play against—in a positive sense if he’s on your team. Several Eredivisie fans specifically suggested his style could translate reasonably well to Championship football.

How good was he in the Eredivisie?

His 2025-26 season was surprisingly productive for a defender:

* 32 league appearances
* 2,800+ minutes
* 5 goals
* 3 assists
* NAC’s captain and regular starter

For a left-back on a lower-table side, those attacking numbers are strong.

Statistically, Kemper’s output (5 goals, 3 assists) was above average for Eredivisie left-backs, but scouts generally don’t view him as one of the league’s most technically gifted or dynamic full-backs. His reputation is built more on reliability, physicality and mentality than elite attacking creation.

My estimate is that he was probably somewhere around the top 8-12 left-backs in the Eredivisie last season, rather than top 3-5. The attacking returns flatter him somewhat because they don’t fully capture technical limitations that have kept bigger Dutch clubs from moving for him earlier.

Will he be good for QPR?

I’d lean yes, provided expectations are realistic.

Reasons it could work:

* Championship suits physical, aggressive defenders.
* QPR need stability at left-back.
* He arrives at 26, so he’s in his prime.
* Leadership experience as club captain.
* Comes with hundreds of senior appearances in Dutch football.

Potential concerns:

* Pace against quick Championship wingers.
* Adaptation to the intensity and schedule.
* Limited upside compared with younger, more athletic prospects.
* May not provide the progressive ball-carrying modern managers often want.

Overall verdict

For a club targeting the Championship play-off places, I’d rate the signing around 7/10.

He’s unlikely to become one of the division’s best full-backs, but he looks like the type of experienced, competitive player who can give QPR 40+ solid games. If QPR supporters are expecting a future Premier League star, they’ll probably be disappointed. If they’re expecting a dependable starter who improves the squad immediately, there’s a good chance he’ll deliver.

New Championship kits 26/27
at 13:19 29 May 2026

It’s definitely not Dennis the Menace or the Red and White halves this year. One of the kits will fly off the shelves apparently. I was under the impression that Errea design our kits. But our club shop manager will put the designs together and they go back and forward with Errea who will add their tweaks / suggestions before it goes to being made. So let’s see. I would love us to go back to Adidas. Look at their Spezial range with clubs like Forest, Villa and Newcastle. Apparently not great with clubs of our size. I must admit I’m not a fan of Errea kits. So many other better brands out there. Really wished we found another brand.

Keep the faith people. We are going to aim for 16th next season. Keep on this trajectory and we will be in Europe in 30 years time.

And other players we are looking at:

1. Left back: Jack Currie (Oxford United), Ismael Boura (Troyes) and Ishe Samuels-Smith (Chelsea, loan)

2. Defensive midfielder: Etienne Camara (Sporting Charleroi) and Gibson Yah (FC Volendam)

3. Box-to-box midfielder: Archie Collins (Peterborough) and Enzo Leopold (Hannover 96)

4. Right back: Zak Swanson (Portsmouth) and Hampus Skoglund (Hammarby)

So goalkeepers we are looking at are:

1. Sam Tickle from Wigan (very keen on apparently)

2. Jari de Busser from Go Ahead Eagles

3. Beau Reus from Beveren

4. Pierre Charles from Sheff Wed

5. Filip Marschall from Stevenage

6. Simon Ngapandouetnbu from Montpellier

7. Elias Olafsson from FC Midtylland

Can’t say I know too much about any of them, but we need a proper keeper for next season!

You would think we would have done our due diligence on the player. The amount of time we sign players with injury records. Had we waited we could have got him free, but we wasted 500k on him! Ridiculous

A few of us from Rangers going to some do for him at The Royal Albert Hall tomorrow night. Think he lives in Chiswick. I’m sure we will get some ‘you Rssss’ in at some point.
