Thanks a million Clive for all your reports this season. I can't go to many games so your dispatches from the trenches help me to understand what it's like to be there every week. I think what you do on this site is amazing. It's the only real community of Rs fans still standing and the standard of your writing is first class. You are totally authentic, always fair, generous in your praise and unsparing in your criticism. If I had to sit through what you sit through every week, I wouldn't be that patient or objective or kind or selfless. Your writing manages to be passionate, eloquent, hilarious, heartfelt, thoughtful and elegantly vulgar in the midst of whatever unique shitshow Rangers throws at us. Like Dickens, you see the good and absurdity and injustice in everything.
I'm glad that your final report of the season highlighted Paul Smyth who cares more than any player in recent memory, always plays with a smile on his face and gives his all. |
