Admin here, hoping beyond hope that this corrects itself like a Volvo pulling a caravan in high winds on the motorway. Were not entertaining suggestions of execution here btw, just to nip that one in the bud… |

for additional context, Clive was in a room by himself, me and Mrs Jeff (Producer Jaz on the patreon etc.) were in the next room, which had one of those weird adjoining doors that meant we could go directly into Clive's room and vice versa. We had generally been going between the rooms freely up until this point, obviously knocking as a common courtesy. it's safe to say that when we knocked on this occasion, Clive made it clear in no uncertain terms that we were NOT to enter the room, and he was not liable for what we discovered and saw if we chose to do so |

Love collecting weird and wonderful kits from over the world, but as a Roma fan I cant bring myself to get any other Serie A shirts, which is pretty gutting as the Fiorentina Nintendo and 7up kits and the Inter Pirelli kit surely belong on the Mount Rushmore of football kits… |

To give you a flavour of the behind the scenes production meeting, that specific line was a source of a bit of consternation about whether to include it in both the podcast and the written piece, Clive not wanting to provoke Producer Jaz' ire. In the end we invoked Daniel Bennie: 'Fvck it, why not?' |

They definitely are - we actually prefaced the Audio on the Patreon with a 'look, GK and Def were a bit of a shit show so we're not going to be too chipper there, but stick with us kids coz we've got great things to say about bits of the midfield and pretty much all of the attack...' |

I am generally the least superstitious / spiritual / religious person i know. a complete physicalist in every sense... BUT, six weeks ago, i wore the current QPR keeper home kit in goal for a 5 a side match and i was absolutely unbelievable. Rolling back the years. and i then wore it the following week and i was nearly as good again. So i've worn it every week since, and i'm in some of the best form in recent memory. i've got a game on Monday for a different team where i have to wear a different kit, and i'm genuinely nervous |

Was it not the case that with the takeover speculation happening that Flávio wouldn’t give him any money to buy players? - had people like Ashley Williams, Wayne Routledge (on a perm) and others ready to go but couldn’t get them over the line, was stuck with Bothroyd on a free and having to sell Gorkks to afford DJ Campbell - I remember a long afternoon at Wigan with Bruno Perone at Centre Back Only towards the end of the window did the takeover happen at which time was a supermarket sweep of whatever waifs and strays were available… |
 | Forum Reply | Bennie and the Nets QPR Vs Watford Match Thread at 11:39 2 Apr 2026
On a personal note i'm interested in seeing Eduardo Bove play for Watford tomorrow. I'm a Romanista in my spare time, and Bove would be still playing in Serie A if he didn't have a 'heart attack' a couple of years go. He's got a pacemaker fitted similar to the one that Christian Eriksen had fitted, and you can't play in Serie A with one, so he had his contract with Roma terminated, and ended up at Watford - already made half a dozen appearances for them off the bench... |

Other than its 151 a litre and I drive a gas guzzling SUV, no issues in getting petrol in South London that i'm aware of... |

Hi W9R, i'm the guy that runs the Patreon on behalf of Clive. I can see your account, it's active, and you have a gifted subscription for the rest of the year, so you should be receiving posts and notifications from us - i've sent you a DM on the Patreon, let me know if you've received it. How do you interact with the Patreon - do you have the App on your smart phone, or do you log in via a laptop etc.? couple of things to try - first of all, as Superhoops2808 mentioned, it's worth checking your spam folder for the email notification that gets sent out when we publish an article. it's also worth both enabling Push notifications for the app on your phone, and connecting the Patreon to either Spotify or whatever podcast app you may use to listen - drop me a DM on here and i can troubleshoot for you. |

love Ipswich away, but the 12:30 KO means that you're not really doing much drinking pre match in Isaac at the Quays before the game, are you - it's straight to the ground give or take, and then after the game, season mercifully over, i'd probably just want to shlep back to London really, seems silly (to me) being on the piss after the game in Ipswich, so you're really only going to watch Ipswich lift a trophy, which i can do at home!

Oh my sweet summer child, that was NOT the lyrics to the Ronnie Edwards song being sung today 🤣 We’ve got Ronnie back and we’re on the pack was what was actually being sung… |

I bet against QPR all the time 🤣 Not sure if it’s some sort of cultural taboo that I shouldn’t be doing, but a little bit of emotional insurance goes a long way! I’ve got a tenner at 150/1 on us getting relegated at the moment. Earlier on in the season when Mbengue was a walking card you could get between 3 and 5 to 1 on him getting booked anytime - it paid for my match days! |

according to who scored ( https://www.whoscored.com/play he's played 28 times in total this season - 22 starts, 6 sub appearances. I wonder whether 30 appearances is the trigger for a new contract? |
