Another takeaway
at 20:45 20 Oct 2022

from last night was how good we were whilst being Willockless.
Like most, i found it difficult to enjoy the match, even though we were superb. Armstrong and Dykes caused chaos, Chair seems to have more energy and get better by the game, Field won everything Paal n Laird, amazing. Despite all that, i was sure Beale was leaving, subsequently, hard to enjoy performance. After hearing news today, been on cloud 9.Way we are playing, without Willock, the changes he's making, the togetherness, is wonderful to see. Also, Beale comes across as so emotionally intelligent re his players. Never heard a manager communicate like him before. Everything feels a little special today.

Been back
at 20:11 29 Jan 2022

A few hours as i only live round the corner. Watched highlights 3 or 4 times, studied league table, scouted Peterborough on sky and generally feel very very good about life.
Against Swansea, was slightly disappointed with atmosphere, thought it would be rocking given where we are and how we're playing. Today was more like it! So happy for Amos, and so good to see how hungry we were from the off. And also such a relief to see an open game after Swansea. My mate and i call Albert the Anomoly, purely because his energy and fitness levels are incredible. Charlie take note!
A very unusual feeling to have a game won so early, didn't quite know how to behave other than just feel content and happy in the world.
As other ppl have said, Willock just keeps getting better, a joy to watch. Its as if he was upped his own level since Chair left
. Field, Albert, Johansson Barbet all just fantastic. In fact there all fantastic. Even the loan dude who came on. A man possessed!!
Anyway, best times in years and loving it

at 23:44 22 Jan 2022

Since i last posted, mainly because I'd forgotten my password, but also cos haven't had much to say.
Feel compelled to just pop in, say hello, share the love, and second what most people are seeing and saying. Been going and have had season tickets since late 90s,and there is really something in the air. Everything, from the way we play, the hunger, pride, last min goals, bandaged heads, 2 number 10s, a new Dunne, etc. Its just a joy to be a part of. Spent 10 min reading last post, moaning about Shaun Wright Philips being picked before Adel.
How we've moved on and how great it feels to be so proud of whats going on.
Can't wait till Tuesday

Here's the format.....the more goals in the game....the more coverage the game gets....then we can show each goal from 10 different angles, with a few super super super slow motions to be safe.If any of the games happen to feature a top4 side, then we can allot even more time.

we can then find some nice middle-class men, with some nice regional accents, who have never played football before,to get really excited about meaningless incidents and come out with absolute CNTISH attempts at humour..."Sir Alex wont be getting any christmas cards from Berbatov this year!!"...

I sit in row A in ellerslie cos my 9 yr old loves being that close to the action, means when we are attacking loft end,its hard to make out whats happening....so,i very much look forward to highlights to get the "big picture".

Fck me....were Ale' and Granero even mentioned??

Fck em all at the beeb

Tomorrow i have trapped myself into having to take my girlfriend to Norwich.Given the choice,i would prefer it if she didnt come.I will list the reasons why. a) She doesnt know that much about football. b) She's a woman. Now,this might sound old-fashioned,woman-hating or whatever.its just that its never ever felt quite right. In the very few times ive taken a woman or seen other women at the ground,i really struggle to forget about them and lose myself into whats happening on the pitch.Thats either because i have to explain innocent questions about players, rules or even worse, apologise for what they are seeing. c) This,in my mind,is why i am most worried about taking her.We have lost everytime she has watched them.Last seaon v Norwich at home..JoeY gets sent off we end up losing 2-1.This season v Swansea!

I am not superstisious, but there is enough there in my mind, to be slightly fearful, and i cant get out of not taking her.My 9 year old son is coming, and it would have meant her being alone all day. There! Ive fessed up,and im now hoping having shared my concers with the group, all will be ok tmrw.

On a lighter note,i was wondering if there is anyone out there who is driving to Norwich from Shepherds Bush?....I dont drive outside London very often and have frequently got lost.If there are people, and wouldnt mind me following them....well,it would make what feels like, the beginings of a traumatic day,a lot easier the bear.

I have avoided this forum and most football reports since the Swansea game. Its something i alwayds do after we have been beaten. Its not too much of a concious thing, moree just an avoidance of anymore pain. Now,with kick-off ust a few hours away, its easier to remember the swansea game and not be too fcked off.The one stand-out thing for me,was the lack of harrying, pressing we did when they had the ball.I remember last season when we beat them 3 nil, they hardly had anytime on the ball.As a unit,we were like huntingg dogs, and that just wannt evident last week.Im guessing, with that amout of new players we have,it takes longer to be coached on pressing, defensive tactics.

Anyway, going to try again to sleep...U rss

half-time thoughs....

MH said with our fans being so close to the play,it made the dimensions of the pitch seem smaller...thus when we played a team with a bigger stadium, which is every team in the PL,we were overawed....

if thats the case, how do we change it??

should be who?....

Just watched the Park press unveiling, and he came across with bundles of humility.Unbelievable signing imo,can play across midfield, and will only be a good influence in dressing room.If he was given armband i wouldnt complain.Personally would love Ale' to be given it,but coming back from the injury he has had, never quite sure how long it will take to rediscover hes previous form.Only other ever-present is Anton, who i think would would also be a good call...anyone know how these things are decided?...purely down to manager or do players have a say?

Dont usually post during the summer, but what is happening is beyond any expectations, fantasies i could have had.Training ground, scouting system, amazing signings,stadium.....unbelievable!!...i live few roads away from LR and drive past everyday a few times for work etc and there are now regular tourists taking pics, along with the junkies and crackheads from white city estate who are still there..such a far cry from thinking/hoping Dou-dou would be the man to change everything around.

Have complete faith in MH,and love that interview he gave at the end of city game, saying we will NEVER be in this position again.Just proves how absolutely huge staying up was last season....dont know if any of the signings, changes taking plave now would have happened if we had been relegated!

at 22:32 21 Apr 2012

Tried to post pic of me and my son meeting Ali before todays match but didnt know how to upload,so its now my avatar.Emailed club a while ago saying its his bday and Faurlin is his fav player etc and they came through last week.Im half spanish and my son goes to spanish school on portobello rd so he and Ali were both hitting it off in Spanish. What a gentleman and a lovely man!

As for the game....this is gonna be my only post till after chelsea match. After Liverpool i was posting all week, same with Arse, same with Swan and we lost every match after i had built myslef up thinking we were gonna win everything in sight.Cant deal with the emotional turmoil anymore.Had season tck last 13 yrs and supporting since i was a kid.

I fancy us for something against Chelsea, and Adel being out might not be as bad as all that....why was he sent off???...anyway,am in heaven atm, silence from now on as i dont wanna heck us...u rssss

OT pressure?
at 10:53 7 Apr 2012

Funny how a few days puts things into perspective.Beginning of week, having seen us play our best game all season, and look more of a team since MH took over, was believing my own euphoria and thinking we could get something tmrw. Now,the size of the task, who we are playing etc has killed most of that hope, and praying for a non thrashing is kind of where im at.
Got a cpl of manc mates who actually go up there for games, and they were telling me how utd feel more pressure up there than away this season...like v fulham. Also, having seen how up for it they were against Blackburn, where they have often struggled,wondering/hoping,if they might have thought we were gonna be easier fixture,so might relax a bit.
Clutching at straws i know....but surely they will think games in the bag before it starts?...which will be to our advantage.
What Northern said in preview about teams being beaten before whistle blows is right.Hope MH gets em right mentally.
Anyway, dontg know what to thing,u Rs

we hadnt had 2 diff managers a massive turnaround of players, and an injury to our 2nd best player(ali)...then i wouldnt be so emotionally fraught atm.Feeling it more for my son(9) than me.He has been sitting next to me for last 3 seasons, and putting my own despair to one side to help him through his is a massive help.
He has become a fanatic without me trying to hard, and am proud as can be.For the last few weeks have been gently easing him into the idea that relegation wouldnt be too bad, more money etc etc...then yesterday!!!
Have not seen us play as well or as a team like that, and considering opposition, was immense.
I truly believe, given time, the squad, the chairman...IF we stay up,we could make a real impact in this league.Fck me,i remember being excited about Dou Dou,and now,in every position, there are reasons to be positive.
As a left back Hill was average,as a CB he is amazing.Taiwo yesterday was a threat going forward and handled the most in-form winger in the prem brilliantly.Taiwo over Padula any day!To have young on the bench is such a luxury.Ever since hes injury and Warnock leaving,Kenny just not been the same.
Saw Diakete on his debut(red),then against liverpool, then yesterday....what a player and what potential...Vieraesque!Barton knew hes place and knew to give the ball to jewel in the crown at every opp.Adel is the most exciting player i have EVER seen.If we can hold onto to him then i would gladly pay whatever to watch us knowing im gonna see pure genius.
Need Mackies in the team, but he frustrates me as much as he has me applauding.Zamora immense.Loved Cisse, when hes on the pitch, and at last, a bench that has a little depth.
Would love a few young-uns to start coming through, but that will come.
My son and i are very proud atm...and i plan to enjoy this feeling all weel!
