Can anyone tell me whether the performance of Championship referees and their assistants is reviewed after each game? There have been just too many bad decisions this year!!🤷♂️🤬 |

We blast it over at home too! But then when you want one of them to actually lift it (Bennie home and away) he tends to keep it low!! There are lots of reasons but I just wish they could think in that split second rather than seeming to panic! That said they are far far better than I could ever think of being - so I’ll forgive them |
 | Forum Thread | Keep the ball down!! at 16:27 6 Apr 2026
Why why why do we keep blasting it over ? Why cannot they have a split second thought ‘keep this down!’? Whilst I have your attention- why do we allow goals immediately after half time?? Why don’t they do something about this ? 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️MCA |

I was thinking of a more generic name as opposed to their function but so as to not be cryptic, the word was Knobs! Not my mind, the BBC had a whole range of images they could have used but to show him fiddling with controls may be an attempt at inside humour or purely coincidental But you are right in that his career may be fading [Post edited 31 Mar 12:29]

I have often wondered what led Esther Rantzen to form Childline - what did she know or sense? |

Dark Humour warning............ Why has the Beeb, in their news report, used a picture of him at a control desk with his hands on those twiddly things on the control desk, you know, damn, what are they called? [Post edited 31 Mar 12:22]

 | Forum Thread | Why is Tim Sherwood sniffing around?! at 11:38 31 Mar 2026
Sorry if this has already been posted here but doesn't this reek of desperation? Yes, Tim you turned us down once and we currently don't need you so pick your hat up off the floor before I tread on it (or worse)! |
 | Forum Thread | Shooting Practice before the game at 02:12 12 Mar 2026
I watch them before each game They run around and shoot and only have a keeper to beat. They smile and joke when they score as if they have done something really well! BUT this is a false reality and they are never going to be in this situation! Place a couple of free kick defensive dummies in FRONT of the keeper and dress them each week in the away strip of the team they are palying! THEN carry out shooting practice but with defenders in the way! This is a more realistic practice, less patting each other or self on the back and the defenders they suddenly find in their way will not come as so much of a shock!! Surely someone somewhere can suggest this please ! |
 | Forum Thread | Apparently, there is no such word as Can't! (But I can get very close!) at 01:58 12 Mar 2026
Can't score Can't shoot Can't hit the target Can't pass Can't defend Can't keep a clean sheet Can't avoid giving away needless fouls Can't keep possession Can't control the ball Can't press Can't construct any ideas or do something different Can't stay fit Can't be bothered All I get for my season ticket is a load of Can'ts ! | Forum Thread | Inconsistency in officiating at 02:18 1 Mar 2026
I probably am biased here but I watch the officiating we have at Loftus Road season after season and compare it to watching other live Championship matches on the TV and feel that we do not get a fair deal in the decisions. The assistant ref got the call on the disallowed goal correct but won't raise the flag when he sees Smyth's shirt being pulled off, over his head, five feet away. I stand behind the goal and watch defenders (at corners) pull and push our players and yet no fouls awarded whereas the number of times Dunne, Cook, etc are penalised is disproportionate. I have been taold (and commented before ) taht the assistants are told by the referee to only flag for offside -NOT fouls, NOT throw ins - which is why , whne the ball goes into touch next to the 'line-o' he looks anxiously at the refs arm before he raises his flag in the same direction! I have written (not mentioniong my team) to the officiating bodies, to Sky pundits and no one seems to care about the inconsistency or that no-one can question the ref and no-one (apparently) reviews their (or their assistants') performance. In the NFL referring teams of officials are reviewed each game and suffer consequences. It seems we can be visited time and again by officials who make ridiculous decisions and no one can do anything about it! |
 | Forum Thread | Being taken for granted at 01:58 1 Mar 2026
A friend said to me today that I only ever post criticism after the team has performed badly. I've thought about that and why I even bother to post at all. I agree, I do post after poor performance but try to point out (as if to a relationship therapist) what is going wrong in my love life with QPR. I feel that, in this love affair I have with the club, I am the one being taken for granted and as it is said that breakdowns in a relationship often stem from poor communication, I feel I have to speak out, put my feelings out there just in case my 'partner' (or any one connected therewith) can understand my despair! So 'Darling' please please try to understand: I don't like the fact that you consistently, week on week, season on season allow teams to overlap , cut down our left , get behind the defender, run along the goal line and cross the ball from the edge of the six yard box to score. You are doing this to me far too often! I've said I want you to stop it and you don't! I don't appreciate you not understanding the offside rule and inability to look across the line time and again. I am sad when you cannot be bothered to lift the ball above the head of the first defender. Please try , for me! x I am unhappy that you cannot seem to consider my feelings at free kicks and do something special for me, rather than the same old same old crossing the ball and hoping it will please me...it doesn't! I don't like it when you make passes to the other team. It seems that you don't care how much you do that! I feel that you have let yourself go and you are free to run around and get paid regardless of the effect it has on me! I love you dearly but need you to reciprocate by putting back some of the magic we once shared rather than letting any respect and affection we have for each other to continue to be wholly onesided! Please xxx [Post edited 1 Mar 2:02]

 | Forum Thread | Why do we keep conceding within 10 minutes of half time? at 23:18 24 Feb 2026
Yes this one’s for you A! If a shopkeeper was to keep leaving the rear door of his jewellers shop open when he went to lunch and coming back 10 minutes late found that he had been robbed, how many times would that need to happen before he realised that he needed to close the door or come back sooner? Our players appear ‘out to lunch’ before half time but always after!! Are they thick? I’m beginning to think that they don’t understand the concept of not conceding in first and last periods if each half 🤷♂️🙄🤔 [Post edited 24 Feb 23:26]

 | Forum Thread | Note to attackers at 23:05 24 Feb 2026
If a defender is facing his goal line with the ball at his feet DO NOT go nearer than 2 ft as the moment he feels you there he’ll go down- EVERY time!!! Armstrong used to do it, Smyth, Kone, Kholli and Vale are doing it !! Why do they not understand this??? 🤷♂️🤬🙄 |
 | Forum Thread | Training Centre or Convalescent Home? at 22:49 24 Feb 2026
Should we have spent money on the former or the latter? We should have seen these injuries coming as for years they have been saying we are Hamstrung financially! No we are hamstrung physically🤬 |
 | Forum Thread | Why do we keep conceding immediately after half time?? at 17:45 14 Feb 2026
This is something that is really grating on me! We keep letting in goals within 15 minutes if the restart but it seems it is more often between 5-10 minutes! WHY??🤷♂️ Surely some of you out there are annoyed by this - I cannot be the only one?! We don’t score as many as we concede in the 10 minutes after the break so it’s either our mindset or other teams know we are slow!!🙄🤔 Can someone please do something about it!!!🥱👍 |
 | Forum Thread | Football ‘smarts’? at 17:38 14 Feb 2026
Not a rant, not a moan- we lost and we will lose and win again! My question is whether anyone else is frustrated by the apparent absence of intelligence or awareness during the game? So many time we give the opposition the chance to fall over and win a foul where we could simply stand off and not give the ref the opportunity to be fooled! If a defender is facing his goal line DON’T go up behind him as any touch will cause him to go down!! Also Smyth ( twice) and Kone - don’t push the defender! Why don’t our players understand this?? So many times today we did it!!! Talented? maybe🤔 but intelligent in attacking situations 🤔🙄🤬 [Post edited 14 Feb 17:40]
