I work in the central London and West End fit out market I think we’re coming to the end of the post COVID uptick where companies downsized, reshaped and invested in IT solutions That’s combined with general economic issues Don’t get me wrong, I’m bang up for WFH myself as my role allows it and I was doing it long before the pandemic. However if you’ve less people going into the office you have less need for companies to be investing in new office space, less travel for business so less hotels and other spin off industries being supported. I don’t think Construction is on its arse (yet) but in my bit of the sector there’s a definite downturn I’m sure we’ll be fine as there is still a noted skills shortage and once the interest rate drops I’m sure speculative development will pick up again. I could do with it ticking along for 18 months more when I can then either retire or semi retire |

Lots of discussion on this lately. My team in work will basically run out of work in July. Until now I’ve been saying something will come along as it always does but now it’s getting a bit scratchy and I’m concerned for the first time in ages. Interest rates still too high, inflation still too high, too many people, too much WFH, and the prospect of a general election with a bit of turmoil after that all sprinkled on top of major conflicts around the world does not lend to a stable and strong economy anywhere. Just hope we stay up!!!! |

I've always thought football had a bit of a "network" and you need to be in that network. When you're outside of it you get your pants pulled down or are taking pot shots in the dark a lah the Bungle Brothers. Then you have the other "network" where all the wrong uns like CandleFace can be found. However I now think I was wrong. I mean how can these individuals keep popping up getting decent wages when they are so clearly bad apples? Maybe it's the wrong un network being self serving. I am certain if you did a poll on here about the retention of the players we had last season that Brum now had you would get 100% of people voting "DO NOT TOUCH WITH A BARGEPOLE"..... yet good old Brum thought "they'll do far me skip" I have heard that Dion is far from popular in those parts in any case |

HSGD Twice already today I’ve had the “he wasn’t actually English y’know” statement thrown at me. To which I’ve said “so what?” Every year the lack of fanfare gets worse. Oh well. Have a good day all |

Here’s one….. if Palace offered to buy out the sell on clause for £5mill would you take it? I think the club would So pleased for the lad as I was always a huge fan. I am gutted he’s found himself behind Bellingham (quite rightly), Foden (acceptable) and then players like Maddison, TTA and Phillips (laughably) in the England reckoning. Shame |

I hadn’t factored in Hull have 3 games and Cov 4 games to play Thought the play off spots sort of sorted. Well….. I suppose we could do with Cov winning next two games but losing against Ipswich in their penultimate game coupled with other results so that they then can’t make 6th. Then we go there with them deflated I dunno It really is mind blowing and now I’m back to being concerned |

Blackburnbloody Rovers losing that one yesterday was a bit of a kicker as I would've made us safe on GD in my mind. I hadn't really brought Rovers into my equation as thought their unexpected win at Leeds would see them home and hosed. Now I am not so sure as Cov may well still have some adrenalin from being robbed of a fairytale and I think Leicester will wipe the floor with them last game. Dodgy times for them. We need Hudds to beat Brum.... end of. If that happens then the mentalist miracle in the world is on which is this squad staying up courtesy of GD. This is another HUGE plaudit for Marti the Redeemer and for that he really does need an open armed statue carved out of marble and stuck on Shepherds Bush Green. This shows you a squad is being well coached and shouts loud he's got his methods across... far harder to actually make strikers score but getting 11 men solid and hard to beat is nothing more than good management. But back to the world of plastic bedsheets..... IF we get a Hudds victory v Brum then I see the last two spots being taken by Hudds and Brum even if Norwich rest a few players last day of the season which I am not so sure they will. WBA and Norwich are vying for 5th & 6th spots which mean little in terms of the play offs as who plays who pretty much sorted and both will be away for the second legs but... if I am honest.... I'd sooner be away at Saints than Leeds. I think it's very likely we'll not get another point this season but... I'll say again.... it won't matter as long as any defeats are slight and -- I might've mentioned this before --- Hudds beat Brum. So bloody frustrating to have got to 50 points and the maths still not right. We really should be flip flops on now and would have been if a certain someone hadn't had Weetabix wrists down in the West Country. I'm usually proper doom and gloom but that win on Saturday was absolute gold dust and I think we'll squeak it (as long as Hudds beat Brum). Ay oop the Terriers |

He’s been remarkable and is the best signing the club have made in ages. I noticed in his post match yesterday he used the phrase “I have learnt in the Championship….” and this is key for me - he is learning and keen to learn. That is great. Hoping other results go our way and he can sit down with the hierarchy and thrash out plans for next season asap He strikes me as ambitious and I just hope the club can match his vision for the next two seasons at least Close to the maths being done so he can be anointed |

Bad news. I am in attendance Last game I saw us win in the flesh was Wigan at home. Just realised how long ago that is. I can confirm I will be ever so slightly drunk and buzzed up so I’ll comply with the request for vociferous support. However, if everyone’s favourite Captain turns up with Weetabix Wrists and Popadum Hands whilst wearing deep sea diver boots I cannot guarantee that will remain positive for the duration |
