Maybe he just didn't want to go anywhere on loan, regardless of the club, perhaps he said 'play me or sell me'. CN wasn't asked why he didn't sell him, but guess he wanted to repeat the Kelman deal, but Kolli didn't play ball.
I don't see Kolli coming back in long term under CN, or JS, so they should have sold him. To turn down 7 loans, suggests it wasn't the clubs listed that were the issue.
It's become such a needless distraction. |

I'm on of those who wants Kolli in the squad and thinks he should be in the squad, but the clubs inability to deal with this is unbelievably poor and shows the inexperience of CN. Its a total distraction and should have been dealt with one way or the other in the summer.
CN has done some good things, but this whole fiasco rolling on and on is on him. |

Get your point here, but that's a bit like buying a selling cheap bits on ebay, where the return on total investment of each deal will be so low and so begs the question if that approach is really worth its time, to make just a few quid, I'd guess its not.
If we're taking a punt on the likes of Smith to see if they can flourish in 12 months great, if not quickly move them on before they become stale, fair enough, but as a strategy for making money, I don't see it. |

Totally agree with you, he needs to start 30 games, you may be right that needs to be L2, but wherever it is, he needs a full season as a starter and we see what he can do. |

Agree its unlikely he will, but right now he's definitely not at the standard we need, but also has a low resale value, so take the Kelman scenario, at least if he did that he'd have a resale value, if we still felt he wasn't there. Agree he's got something, but technically needs to improve. |

He's apparently a great lad, and his attitude on the pitch is bang on, but is a player who would benefit from a 30 game season on loan in L1, knocking in the goals and continuing to develop, then come back next year full of confidence.
Him playing 20mins here and there for us for 10 games and then being called on to start 5 games in a row due to injuries, isn't likely to be a great outcome for anyone, certainly not if we want top 8. [Post edited 5 Aug 14:10]

What a player, I have the 88 Milan shirt, and it always reminds me of him, despite that team being littered with talent.
He was such an immense leader on the pitch as well, very sad. |

Unless he wants to go, we should get on with pre-season until someone puts in an offer that is too good to refuse, either to balance the books or replace him, but based on previous seasons, we needs every player to get as much fitness as they can before the season starts. |

We're out due to a poor tactical decision to retreat. The shift after the goal was glaring, if Tuchel didn't want that he could have changed it at the hydration break, he didn't, if players weren't listening, he could have replaced them with those that would push us higher up the pitch, but instead opted to bring on more defenders.
The players should have done better to stop crosses, protected and retained the ball better and used all the shithousery they could muster, but this defeat is on Tuchel.
I don't think we sack him, as so much up to that point was good, but this was a tactical error that cost us |

Agree. With those opening 8 games, if the club don't have the squad 95% set and all at 100% conditioned for Portsmouth they're mad, we should be top 6 by the end of September as a minimum. |

Agree, but felt the suggestion of keeping the group together was because he knows we're unlikely to get any acceptable offers this summer, so doesn't want to look like he was hoping to...Matt implied the same at the end.
Its good that he's done this, but I felt like I learned nothing new. My biggest concerns on the whole thing were...
1. the 1 hour of confidential discussion - if he was sharing planned transfer targets, but didn't want that to be public fair enough, but I doubt it, and can't think what else would be ok to share with some fans but not others.
2. closing down the Car Giant question without comment, unless that was part of the confidential, which would have made it odd for someone to then ask about it. Even if he'd said they were exploring it as they do all land that comes up, but explain why he can't discuss it... its a big question for the club given the lack of alternatives and justifies more than 'no comment', its not the secret service.
3. he uses singular examples to justify a position e.g. referencing Sunderland vs confirming the average age of top 6 teams for the last 5 years, or the lower school end being the cheapest in the division, so all other ticket hikes are justified
4. finally, (may be unfair if it was in the confidential bit, but if not...) any good corporate CEO brings the presentation to the investors, providing updates on all the business priorities and demonstrating the progress made and challenges faced, then takes questions on it. Instead he turns up and just offers his time to answer questions, its so arrogant and unproductive.
His inexperience shines through like a beacon, from his attitude to Clive, his let me educate you simpletons tone of voice, not knowing his numbers, no interest on reversing anything based on fans feedback, being excessively guarded, its all just a bit embarrassing. [Post edited 18 May 15:22]
