Ref having the night off. Getting a bit testy.
Which Forest player does Adam Szalai most resemble, John Robertson or Andy Reid?

So, what minute will the Swedes first get possession in the Spanish half?

Took one for the team in Deliverance. First film apparently, equivalent of making the new kid field at forward short leg. Without a helmet.
|Giroud and Mbappe feud - in the style of Spiral |

Perfectly timed as always, it seems the French don’t like each other. Giroud as Tintin, by the book, show us your medals. Mbappe as Ali, boy wonder, everyone wants to build his squad around him. Benzema is Gilou, rough round the edges old timer who sleeps in his car and doesn’t want too much scrutiny of his behaviour out of work. Laure Deschamps trying to get everyone to hold together for a result before it falls apart.
Tempting to call out Non Giroud, merde!

The Toronto Maple Leafs have done it again, blowing a 3-1 playoff lead to lose to the Canadiens. Still unable to win the Stanley Cup in the 54 years since the number of opponents went up from 5. After a spell when teams like the Chicago Cubs, Philadelphia Eagles, Clermont-Auvergne, Cronulla Sharks and Western Bulldogs finally won a title after a ridiculous wait, who else is really overdue a title? For the sake of argument, I’m leaving out football as it generally has a pyramid with hundreds of clubs in each competition.
Apart from the Leafs, I’m thinking...
Warrington RL, one of only six or seven clubs with a realistic chance, no title since 1955.
Hanshin Tigers, the best supported of only 12 Japanese baseball clubs, only one title ever - 1985.
Somerset CCC, in the county championship since 1891, never won it!

When do the crowds return, and will competition be delayed to wait for them?
Limerick and Dublin favourites again, I presume?
|London Necropolis Station!|
at 22:46 22 Apr 2021
I had lunch at a pub called the Duke of Sussex near Waterloo Station today. The floor of the gents has a map of the area from about 100 years ago engraved on it, which was pretty amazing. Not only was there a leadworks, sawmill and brewery on the South Bank waterfront between Westminster and Waterloo Bridges, but there was a London Necropolis Station at the south end of Waterloo Station. Apparently a private company had a mortuary and chapel to receive dead bodies and send them on dedicated trains on the “London Necropolis Railway” straight to Brookwood cemetery and crematorium in Surrey, most famous passenger, Friedrich Engels. First, second and third class coffin tickets available.
I am 56 years old and hadn’t heard of it until I looked at the floor of a pub toilet!

Including real people in the stands! Can't see any of last year's also-rans moving up into contention this year. With a less taxing schedule than last season and better luck with injuries (possibly), I'm tipping the Raiders this year.

Pawing the ground at the thought of getting away to somewhere new. Who better to turn to than the Frank and Nesta Boughs of LFW? Can I go first? Has anyone been to Chania in Crete and is it a good idea?
