https://www.qpr.co.uk/news/2024/april/13/tom-hyett-rip/ Very sad news. Tom looked after us in the East Paddock wheelchair user section for the last 10 years plus and always greeted you with a friendly smile and usually a team sheet. He was a great servant to the Club over many years and will be sadly missed. Condolences to his family and friends. RIP Tom. |

Very enjoyable reading, thanks Clive. Great to have a decent Championship referee. Suspect he will not be around this level for long - promoted to Prem. |

Agree that he's been a great addition and makes a huge positive difference when he plays. I really do wish though that he stops blaming other players when it is sometimes his mistake. He even appeared to have a go at Begovic when he played him into trouble with an awful back pass and Asmir did well to kick it into touch. Also played two or three aimless long balls in the first half and only saw him put his hand up in apology once. |

A great point made by one of the posters on another message board: "Imagine, just imagine, if in the midst of the mad celebration of Dunne's wonder goal the big screen had flashed up “VAR Check” and how that would have punctured the mood. Even if confirmed 2 minutes later, that ultimate high wouldn’t have been the same. No to VAR" |

Superb. The quality of Jimmy Dunne's winner only matched by the quality of your three paragraph description of it! Thank you. One of those 'I was there' moments that will stay in the memory forever. |

Lovely tribute to your Dad, Sevenhoop. He certainly was a loyal supporter and it's fantastic that so many of your extended family are now R's fans. Those moments with your son when Jimmy scored will provide an unforgettable memory and I'm sure most of us in your position would have burst into tears too. RIP your Dad, Tommy. Totally agree with you also that Jimmy is a person and player we should all be proud to have at the Club. |

Agree that it was not one of his better performances last night. However I thought that was largely down to the very good marking job Furlong did on him. Seemed to follow Ilias even when he dropped deep and is very hard to beat in one-on-one situations. He's a strong, fast and intelligent defender and probably one of the toughest opponents Ilias will face in the Championship. I'd love to still have him in our team and that goal-line clearance, as mentioned elsewhere, was outstanding. He even managed it without using his hand! [Post edited 7 Mar 18:40]

Thanks Clive. A very enjoyable read on what sounds a top-class performance. Loved the line "Leicestershire’s premier wedding venue Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall". Well done to all the fans who travelled and provided such terrific support. So glad they were rewarded with the right result. Hopefully it will boost the team's morale for the closing stages of the season. With everything now so tight at the bottom of the table, we are in for a thrilling finish to the relegation battle. Let's hope we end up on the right side of the line. |

Noticed Marti shouting at Begovic at one point to move the ball quicker. Also with Dunne so good in the air we should have used the option more often of him as a target man advanced on the right to win a few flick ons. Hodge or Hayden needed to cover for him though. If that worked a few times, I'm sure Rotherham would have abandoned their high pressing game which caused us such problems. |

Thanks Simon. A lovely tribute to a wonderful footballer - my all-time favourite player I count myself so lucky to have seen him play at QPR over seven glorious years. Among my treasured possessions are a framed signed shirt of his and a signed copy of his very entertaining autobiography. I also met him on several occasions, including when I worked at White City greyhound track on the Tote during 1978-79. Always friendly with a great sense of humour and that wonderful glint in his eye. He will be hugely missed. Condolences to all his family and friends. RIP Stan. |

My footballing idol when I was a teen. One of those players who made you realise why it was the “beautiful game”. A wonderful character who more than anyone typified our crazy beautiful club. Thanks for the wonderful memories, Stan. RIP. |

Thanks Clive, informative preview. As you imply it seems all set up as a banana skin for us. The bookies seem to think so too with Stoke currently 2.26 for the win, compared to our 3.6, on the Betfair Exchange. Good luck to all R's travelling tonight and I hope you are rewarded with a win. |

Great preview/analysis, Clive. Agree with you on Sinclair. Loads of scope for improvement but I love that he is so positive. Every time he gets the ball in the opposition half I’m on the edge of my seat because you know he will be heading for goal not passing safely backwards. |
