I agree. Would also like to see Kolli - Burrell over an extended period of time, perhaps giving Kone a rest. Thought that looked promising for the short time we saw it vs Hull |

I agree with the rest, if it turns out he's been fired and we all have found out from a WLS article with this timing during the season it's a very sad state of affairs. If that's what has actually happened you're justified I'm just interested to hear more the club and would be shocked at the swiftness if the above is correct. Just 2 months ago he was trusted to basically be our manager for the Plymouth game, what's happened between now and then? Well, let's hopefully find out... |

I'm happy to have a chat, it's just my opinion which is pretty similar to your words at the bottom. Having the news break in this vague way and leaving the rest up to fans' guesswork never ends well. In your post you say "there's a misunderstanding" - no, there's straight up no understanding, whoever you want to blame. I do feel for the club to a certain extent that this has leaked out before a settlement has been agreed, which means legally they feel obligated to stay silent while people who have been upset by this decision leak out their side and the message boards and rumour mill go into overdrive. |

Pretty much my point earlier which I understand is an unpopular take as there's a 23x upvoted post 2 hours after the article asking why the club haven't already released a full statement, tribute, biographical piece. I think blame lies with whoever was involved in leaking the story to WLS with this |

It's like you just said with Field though and it's the first time me hearing that he was told to leave. He signed a new long term contract in June, played every pre season game then full 90s in the first 3 league games of this season. The last game being the 7-1 loss on the 23rd August and the obvious large amount of changes made to a team that got pummeled. Was it after this game he was told to leave, or the entire summer after the contract and being involved in every game? Some of these narratives that appear don't feel right either |

Apologies as meant to upvote. Horrible experience especially when describing his mother being hit and in a scary and vulnerable position. Hopefully that's all behind him now and he can continue performing like we know he can |

I'll tag this along with a response to DaveB as of course there's valid criticism in the treatment of Nardi, Paal... the Cook contract announcement was bizarre to say the least. However along with that I don't see an issue with changing captaincy to a player who will play all 46 games, 90 mins. I don't think Field has been mistreated considering he's been handed long term contracts TWICE in the last 12 months. I don't have sympathy for Kelman who clearly never wanted to be here. The Marti situation while strange we ended up winning by receiving compensation. I'm not blindly one way or the other like it feels you're trying to imply. If it turns out that management has just given Furlong the boot and don't provide a statement or reasoning that would be awful treatment for a club legend and rightly condemned. I know it's dissenting to not contribute into an immediate pile on but all my opinion is, I want to know what's actually happened rather than base everything off a vague leak and ITK's on an internet forum. Let's hope we get that in the next few days |

Thank you I'm not saying it's fake news but it's obvious that WLS are prone to employing clickbait and dramatised headlines for clicks just like they did when they completely mischaracterised Julien Stephan's comments after the Southampton game I'd hope the club would clarify what has happened in an official statement but expecting that inside 24 hours of a published leak I think is a bit ridiculous and an extreme oversimplifying of the situation. This isn't a Sunday league team dropping someone, there's legal obstacles, contracts Also not sure what you want the club to do about Kolli's fathers' instagram posts or a salty ex players' comments in a program I think there's more pressing issues at a football club than this |

I do unfortunately and haven't seen anything of the like so I am interested about what he's talking about here. Have barely heard anything about Nourry on other platforms since the season has started and we can actually talk about football. Sad news about Furs who has done amazing things for the club since returning behind the scenes and for the youth teams, true legend of the club Hesitant to read too much into the increasingly inflammatory WLS to understand the full situation with this one. He has been here 13 years and perhaps had a say himself in moving on? Let's wait and see |

Against run of play is a crazy statement! They scored with their only 2 shots inside 51 minutes! QPR - Hull Expected goals (xG) 3.62 - 1.11 Total shots 26 - 8 Shots on target 8 - 4 Big chances 5 - 3 Well deserved win, just what we needed to stop the slump |

He's underperforming, fair, but I thought Dembele had a promising cameo at Swansea and should have had an assist if Chair didn't miss a sitter. For all the talk about getting youngsters on the bench, I know it feels like he's been around for decades but Dembele is still only 22. Still feel he's one of our most creative players so gets his squad place for me. I hope fans can back him like we have to Madsen, confidence is everything |

To then be a feeder club to Lyon and Botafogo? No thank you, don't want multi club ownership anywhere near us |

I think Vale for me but you're right, you could arguably say he's the first name on the teamsheet right now |

I'm not sure it would go down well if JS went to the media and slated Frey just like everyone did online. Positive comments may be needed, that's man management After 10 games he should know his best 11 but too easily as fans we just ignore any potential factors. Like vs Millwall, how fit and ready are the returning international players, perhaps he would have liked to play Burrell or Kolli but they were not 100%. We don't really know |
 | Forum Reply | What should QPR do with Sam Field moving forward? at 11:33 22 Oct 2025
Our last bench featured only 1 recognised defender in Mbengue. If we needed to make another change at CB/LB, it would have had to be Field. I think he would be smart to go for a role in the left side of defence. A left footer in LCB is a bit more balanced and in that position is JCS and Akindileni. If we wanted to upsize the defence against a more physical team, perhaps LB also works. I've thought since the start of last season that this could be a better for him. It was the Palace game (and around that time) he filled in at LCB and I thought he was decent. I think there's a better chance here than getting ahead of Varane / Hayden at DM. Perhaps he gets a chance tonight and in the 3 game weeks but surely he isn't happy with just being a bit part player |

Much prefer the apolitical and inclusive nature of our club. Aside from the cringe chanting of Starmer's and Yaxley-Lennon's names by a minority of away fans this season, I don't see any need for it |

The official update I can see pre Wrexham was "𝗞𝘄𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗣𝗼𝗸𝘂 and 𝗜𝗹𝗶𝗮𝘀 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗿 continue their individual rehab programmes. Both have returned to the pitch and will integrate into squad training in the coming weeks as they build towards match fitness." I don't see anything inherently wrong with that statement. If not satisfied with the given timescale, I'm then not sure why anyone would want the club to rush it and risk a Willock mk2 situation |
