R.I.P. John Douglas

of the Trashcan Sinatras. One of my all time favourite bands. I saw John play a small venue in Brighton during his solo tour of 2024. He was decent enough to chat to me for a while after the gig. He was just 63 years old.

You may also be aware that he's married to Eddi Reader.

I'm on Sam Fender's mailing list - I've seen him play in Brighton twice.

Last week he (or likely his PR team) sent an email out asking fans to download all three versions of the single (his solo version, the duet with Olivia Dean and the INSTRUMENTAL) as all of them would count towards the chart position.

Nice build up by somebody and somebody. Somebody cuts it back but it's intercepted before somebody gets there.

As you can tell, i can't quite see the players from this single camera angle.
