Yeah judging by Travis's reaction I was expecting to see Batths foot severed clean off, as it is he's fine to continue. That said it was a stupid challenge, easily a red. I expect Ashby for Santos to avoid another player lost and maybe one of the attacking 3 off for Dixon Bonner or Madsen. Maybe bring on Lloyd for Frey to add pace if we set up to counter attack. |

That's ok, I wasn't writing 200 words about Bonne, I was writing 200 words about why my more succinct post wasn't spiteful. |

Yeah I'd probably be on my best behaviour if I'd just crashed through someone's front wall as well. He was trying to show off in his flash car (that we probably paid for) in front of his league 2 team mates. Poor judgement that he'd do it in a residential street, luckily only damaged property (I believe some of the players had to miss a few fixtures too) but shows you enough about his mentality to see why he never kicked on. I also don't care about him either but I have friends who are gills season ticket holders and he wasn't prolific for them either and they didn't think he was good enough for league 2 level. So let's not pretend he was better than he was. |

The school said they need to move to a bigger site, so we could assist them if it's mutually beneficial. |

They've been doing it for years. Tickets are first come first serve so you'd better get early access, £50 please. Ah you've got early access but there's still a massive queue and while our system mucks about holding you we're going to increase the price by £100 every hour because the person who logged in a second before you is more loyal so you're going to get charged more. Actually our systems going to boot you off so you have to rejoin so that will be £200 more than the base price you Johnny come lately piece of shite. It's basically capitalism though isn't it, so can't complain too much. A system so fool proof we need checks and measures to stop monopolies extorting the general public. |

I think the houses in imre close are council owned. If we got the school site (big if) a better solution would be to provide council flats on the west side of the site, decant residents to the new flats then demolish the one's in the way. Bit of a faff for the council so sweeten the deal by providing more units and building them to be efficient and low maintenance. |

People have been joking about the fact that all of the players are from a different country to the one we signed them from. I guess in analytical terms they have proven that they can perform in a foreign country and don't get homesick etc. I don't think we can afford high quality championship players from our competitors and buying from League 1 isn't guaranteed either, so it's a reasonable approach. |

We had the same discussion around Willock with people wanting to keep him after everything because nobody else could possibly do what Willock did. Then Dembele turns up.... If he goes, hopefully it's for good money, we thank him for his efforts and we move on. |

How would an agent know what we want for his player? I get it's in the agents interest for his player to move but if they've signed a 3 year deal, they know he won't be moving for at least 1 or 2 seasons. Unless you're Beales agent but of course he doesn't have one... |

Personally I think it is all about FFP. I'd be shocked if other teams weren't trying to estimate our position with FFP before bidding for our players. The less information they have the less certainty they will have. If they know we're close to FFP limit and need a sale, their offer will reflect that but if uncertain it would be a risk to annoy us with low offers. While I'm sure all agents will try and work to get a higher offer when their player is signing a contract, once it's done what benefit is there for the agents to provide the duration of contract after they have signed? I know other clubs do this and we've often looked at other clubs getting better money for their players, not sure if there is a correlation there but it wouldn't surprise me if that was part of the reason. |

To fully understand the risks you'll need to know what system it is. If you search BRE non-traditional housing in the UK you should be able to get a document that has some history to it. There may also be photos of similar looking houses that say who the manufacturer was. Once you know that you can assess the risks and should be able to look out for any signs of recurring defects with the specific type of structure. |

Is he that much cheaper? We've had to pay a lump to sign him whereas Hayden would have been free and sounded like he was willing to cut his wages to a suitable level. I think it was more a case of we need a Hayden type player, what's the best investment for the club. Hayden was great but there's little sell on potential. He's probably at or past his peak so possibly not going to maintain that level of performance for too many years. We've instead used the money, (possibly very similar money when his fee and wages are considered*) on someone who may improve to a level where we can sell him for a profit. Hopefully that's it for CM now, we have 4 good options, we need to use our remaining resources strengthening other areas of the squad I think. *Not knowing the length of the contract makes this hard to work out but assuming the rumored fee of £825k is spread over 3 years, it is equivalent to just over 5k a week in wages. Is this why we hide contract lengths so other clubs find it harder to work out how close to FFP limit we are? |

While we're discussing reporting standards, what of the social media personalities and news sources that claimed he was an asylum seeker and "fresh off a boat"? Unverified information from alternative media that incited a completely pointless riot in a community that had just undergone a massive tragedy? Completely sick that people are allowed to do that to boost their online profile with the end game to presumably monetise it. They seem to have a following eager/well trained to trust them over "legacy media". |

Three young girls have been murdered and his response on that specific issue is - "I doubt any of the LFW Libs will have the chutzpah to go down the "And here's why it's a good thing:" route." - How else is that supposed to be taken other than people who have different politics to him think 3 young girls dead is a good thing but won't say so? 6 up votes for that, nice. But you want to have a go at Clive because the real nasty stuff is calling people names (nutjobs, trolls, weirdos, racists etc)? Doesn't seem correct to me. For what it's worth I think a decent discussion is to be had, SheffieldHoop has made some interesting comments on capitalism being common sense and who's really holds power above our elected officials which could be discussed but it's never going to work on an internet forum. |

Ah, watched the first half in my lunch break and left it with Pidcock in 3rd 35s off the lead. Thanks for the detailed summary, I'm gutted I didn't get to see it live. |

Yeah, I agree although not I'm sure what McLaren agreed pre-race with the drivers. Personally I don't think he needed to give it back if Oscar couldn't catch him as he could have been pitted behind Oscar and done it on pace in the last stint based on what happened. But because the team essentially decided to undercut based on a risk behind that was never likely to materialise, Norris then had his options for winning it on track removed from him. Think McLaren did it deliberately to avoid any wheel to wheel racing as Norris seemed to have the edge on pace all weekend up to the race. |

This season has widened out to 4 teams having cars capable of winning with Red Bull having the edge initially and McLaren having a slight edge on pace recently. 7 different race winners this year (every driver with a good car except Perez) so it is a bit more interesting than some of the recent Red Bull/Mercedes dominated years. Feel a bit sorry for George Russell today, he did a long stint on his tyres so think the lack of rubber is what caused him to be under weight. Normally they do a full lap back to the pits after the finish picking up rubber marbles to offset the tyre wear but spa is such a long track they go into the pit exit, so he didn't get to do that this race. |
