Post COVID capacity.
at 13:41 10 Aug 2020

GaryT

When the schools go back sure;y this will increase the transmission rates too via various things not necessarily related to the kids themselves.

I don't think St Pollock has been out of order he gave an opinion is all.

I'm back in the office, pubs are currently open - albeit with quite the palarva I suspect people ain't bothering and in theory we could (if government advice was totally listened too -0 have millions on tubes, buses trains etc going into offices, shops and so on (mask excepted on PT .

However go to QPR or the beach and it's dangerous???...

All he said was we cannot go on like this or if we do expect massive problems.

BTW the Non League thing surely they will have limited capacity's too?

Depends a bit on who and how but if they started systematically forcing people out in this way then lawlessness would follow fairly soon after???...

Meanwhile they want everyone to flood into work/offices trains etc however now quarantining been on holiday.

Masks or not imagine the "normal" MOnday on a tube.

Either one or the other we carry on with work at home, masks etc or we let it go for herd immunity, meanwhile the antibody tests are nowhere to be seen..... funny that......

Thanks for that Nadera - never understood why so many clubs were desperate to sell to CVC - and the 6 Nations too.

Think Rugby generally could be heading into a mess both north and south of the border.

As for Wasps, here's hoping your on the money.

I was called back from Furlough on the 25th June (fortunately for me in many ways others havent been and some probably wont at all).

However I queried the fact that I HAD to go and work in the office as part of a new skeleton staff.

I was told that this was my only option and I could go back on furlough but if I did.....

WE have about 120 staff in total and about 100 to 110 in the office normally.

Currently there's 12 of us in the office but even with SD etc you have to wonder.

I have my personal opinion, and am not worried but not sure I am expected to go into work but I MUST wear a mask at a shop??? - but I don't have to in the office, or presumably in the Pub?

In any event this huge work from home thing is clearly having it's own affect on the economy as the Eco system - if you will is falling apart without all the money thats swills about via the usual getting about that was normal prior to Lockdown.

I feel most will probably abide masks if compulsory but will as a result stay away and spend less whilst it continues.

Broadly speaking then 1960 onwards is probably best barometer I would think.

Saints v Norwich I'd say SAints would be considered bigger city, South Coast, Norwich a bit out on a limb hence they didnt get my "nod"

Juzzie - great minds think alike, look forward to seeing your post if you do it.

Its true Briatore said it when he took over, but not sure it was ever part of teh Four Year plan Documentary.

It certainl was laughable when you look at what a joke Briatore was at running anything, and in many ways am amazed he ever ran a successful business in any walk of life - but he did.

He was also thought well of in F1 at one time I think, but again made a mess of things.

Premier Leagues Closed shop
at 11:55 10 Jul 2020

Here's what I think the suits, media and PL would love for their Closed Shop Wet DReam league.

1 - Arsenal
2- Man Utd
3- Liverpool
4- Man City
5- -Chelski
6 - Tottenham
7 - Leeds
8 - Aston Villa
9 -Newcastle
10 - West Ham
11 - Wolves
12 - Derby County
13 - Notts Forest
14 - Leicester
15 - Sunderland
16 - Southampton
17 - Sheff United
18 - Sheff Wed
19 - West Brom
20 - Sunderland

This is my kind of idea of the sort of table they might like if they coulkd close the shop so to speak, not an opinion of who should or should not be in the PL.
Also based on the kind of stuff you hear about certain clubs.

Should be in PL - massive side, huge support base etc etc.

This is never something they talk about with QPR - who deapite are London base don't get the London biased media darling sort of stuff others do.

Just for fun/hate etc

Context for this Season
at 11:24 10 Jul 2020

Much better because I too feared relegation, I can see many of the issues such as the defensive side doesn't seem a particular thing Warburton thus far excels at, and it's stuff he and his team need to work on, few teams get promoted or do well conceding as many as we do.

IN terms of the post lockdown period well I always thought we'd do really well or really struggle as the uniqueness of the situation compares to nothing, in addition with people likely coming and going unless you really had something to fight for then I wondered how many would not quite put in the 100%.

W've lost players both during the season then after the June situation due to contracts, and the fact we clearly need the season over and focus entirely on next season, which I wonder to some degree is whats happening.

I thought Mings was ok tbh, rumous OGS is interested in him for Manure...

Next season would be difficult Mings and Grealish will go, but thinking on it the money those 2 alone would command would see them right I'd imagine for a while.
