I don't know if anyone has mentioned the interview on football focus the other week where he said that his ambition was to manage abroad - didn't seem that fussed whether he goes on to the premier league or not. |

must have been early 80's and my dad into modern jazz was due to go and see Pat Metheny at hammersmith. Think he was popular at the time as he had a collaberation with david bowie . anyway dad was ill so said i should go with a mate so i could tell him what is like .
best ever quote from my mate " i've heard roadworks more melodic than this" .

definitely You cant hurry love by Phil Collins . I cant stand Phil Collins anyway - (give me Edwyn any day of the week - but I forever associate that song with QPR blowing a 2-0 lead at home to Luton back in the 80's - they must have played that song at half time and it still brings back memories of that game - don't know why wasn't even that significant - but the opening bars have me covering my ears or rushing for the off button . almost pavlovian . |

anyway whilst watching MOTD last night - everton were able to take a quick free kick against villa and due to hutton throwing the ball back and turning his back and general lack of concentration they were able to score - I thought that is just the type of thing that would happen to rangers - but comforted myself because it has just been highlighted on motd and surely noted , digested and emphasised in the team talk and most QPR players would have watched because they are imminent opponents lightening coul........aaa.aaahhhhhhhh ( If you imagine the painting the scream by munsch - that is what I look like now ) |

ok I really don't want to be inundated with requests for Viagra or antidepressants ( don't know if that's generalising what posters on a rangers forum might need ! )
but I am a pharmacist and despite my user name am currently residing in Guernsey but made it against Derby and can cross off seeing rangers win at Wembley off my bucket list I was there twice against spurs once against oxford and also in Cardiff

I went to the same school as him (Stepney Green) - without a doubt head and shoulders above everyone at school - it was the days when schoolboy internationals were held at Wembley - and we used to go and watch him play their for England with huge crowds - I dug out one the old match programmes a while back and Andy Sinton was in the same schoolboy team .
I nutmegged him once during training for the school team - and obviously he never recovered from that.
Kind of lost track and was surprised to see him giving interview on motd as Cardiff assistant manager. |

maybe a guilty pleasure but According to Jim on channel 4 every day - Jim is just a blokes bloke - likes sport / food /beer and avoids emotional interaction not cerebral but some of the husband/wife father/kids scenarios ring true and its the yeah I recognise that situation laughter |

Yes the one phrase I detest - he was touched so he had every right to go down - well he did go down and the ref still saw it for what it was - really since when does any contact in the penalty area become a penalty?

just moved and found some dvds i forgot about - just watched 2004-2005 - what a season paul furlong imperious , holloway passionate , team spirit , ainsworth ,gallen ,bircham cookie togetherness and fun . if you have it watch the xtras again and ollies "syrup sketch" , chuckle brothers - can you imagine anyone from the current crop bonding like this squad obviously did . one of the funniest things though was unintentional - sean derry getting sent off for leeds at loftus road - was that a mullet on the greying one? |
