Pretty sure SWP had left (2015) before Les came in (2016).
But I would've loved it if SWP was one of those senior players still at the club milking us when Les arrived. As that would've made for very awkward viewing with Ian Wright sitting there listening!
Maybe I should've been more clearer. As Antti says, it was predominantly (95%) social media. It was bordering (but not quite) along the lines of the horrendous abuse Lumley was getting.
The reason I refer to them as "fans" is that they are far from that when they are catagorically NOT being constructive - they're just being complete tw@ts!
Despite Dunne being one of better performing players over the last few years until he went through his bad patch, there were certains sections of our fanbase that were properly scapegoating (slagging him off). Wanted him nowhere the first, and in fact wanted him out of the club etc... I mean, this was not critiquing him, this was slating him to the point of completely writing him off! Hence the term "fans" - and I make no apology for that.
A bit of waffle at times, but good covereage of the game, although it missed Cook's overhead kick. The noise of the crowd comes through well, and a very honest assessment of the game after....
Incredible! The most thrilling game I have ever commentated on to date, and such a fitting match to pay tribute to one of the best entertainers @QPR has ever had, the great Stan Bowles 💙🤍 🎙 pic.twitter.com/q3m31FCrbN
