A really decent interview. Early days but really impressed by the new boss. A really refreshing take on things & can see why he's valued as a coach. Of course, results are the things that he'll be judged on & first few weeks of season may be a bit up and down. That's where we need to give him time which some won't do. But lots to be positive by. Just hope results come quicker than I think they will. & as much as he embraces it, he needs to get off Twitter...

Survive or drop, appointing Ramsey is a no-brainer — column
at 19:50:02

A fantastic article and certainly food for thought. After the Everton game I had rather given up the ghost on our survival chances as it was evident some displays from the players that day suggested they'd given up too. Since then, the 3 games we've had have been really positive & along with your article, really opened my eyes about Ramsey being here for the longterm. Personally, I would wait until the end of the season when we know where we will be to make a decision on him. A few big pressure games until then so let's see if there's more improvement from the side, even if we do go down. Fingers crossed, it'll work out for him & us...

QPR lucky to claim first point from Norwich draw — full match report
at 21:46:56

Think the report is reasonably accurate. Would add that I agree with the mom being Zamora and think Ferdinand, in the 2nd half gave a much better showing, and I'm no fan of his btw! What alarmed me was our overall naivety, particularly diakite and Park, running into trouble and giving the ball away numerous times.

As pointed out, Norwich were not great and I said just after half time that they would get out of this game exactly what we give them, ie lost possession and silly fouls that enabled them to gain the upper hand when we should be doing so much more in their half. Time and time again our few attacks petered out and played into the home sides' hands. On another day we'd have lost this so the fact we got a barely deserved point is something to be delighted with whilst knowing there's a lot of work to do
Worth pointing out was how Liverpool went from buffoons last week at west brom to looking damned good today v city. It can turn round quickly but the plans need to be implemented thoroughly beforehand. Over to you Hughes....

Time for some home truths — guest column

I too would give Barton a little bit more credit, but I really had to check again who wrote this because I could have sworn it was me. Bang on the money.

QPR kick start their summer with Bothroyd deal

sometimes too over-analytical clive - he's only as good as his last season, where, irrespective of having a purple patch early on, he is still a 20-goal a season man. Forget his previous record, 20 goals is 20 goals albeit in the championship so he has to be worth a punt and seemingly good business as well. Also worth mentioning regarding England, Capello saw something in him and I don't recall howls of derision from the media at his call up either.
Of course, saying all that, Michael Ricketts springs to mind, but Jay's better than that. Let's hope NW works his magic, cos I for one am very pleased with this acquisition

QPR start 2011 facing ghost of a championship lost — full match preview
at 09:41:32

To get a result at carrow road will be largely dependant on how well our defence plays, in particular our centre backs. Need to be "on it" from kick off and stand up to holt's robust yet effective play. Lansbury missing for them is a plus but concentrating on our own team, we need to keep the ball more than we did vs cov and use a bit of patience when distributing the ball - one criticism i have of my team this year is how cheaply we lose the ball sometimes.

Would be very pleased with a point...
