Exactly mush, Biesla wasn't punished because there was no rule to break and no punishment to give.
Tonday/Saints got punished because we broke the rules, we were the first case of it so the punishment was new as it hadn't been tested before.
You could probably argue that it should've been sorted in the summer as this timeline is ridiculous, but then you can also argue that's on the club for sticking with Tonda knowing full well he'll be punished during the season by the FA.
Do i think the punishment so far has been over the top? Personally yes, because it didn't really give us an advantage, and has largely been inflated by media hype.
Can i argue the punishment is unfair? No, because there's no precedent so no comparison, and this is the decision which sets a baseline.
Saints fans squinnying about it achieves f*ck all really and given we all know and accept the club and Tonda have broken the rules we should probably just accept the decision.
Not sure if i'm missing something here but what can they appeal? We got charged with breaking the rules, because we broke the rules, Tonda admitted to breaking the rules, the FA are looking at him for breaking the rules. Presumably he'll get a punishment for breaking the rules because he broke them.
Now call me naive but that doesn't sound like a conspiracy or that there's any decision other than a punishment, because everyone has admitted we did wrong, including tonda himself
1. Chester was lovely for a beer pre game, we had no transport issues so got there in good time despite being at Euston the same time as Pat
2. Wrexham is a complete dump of a town and weirdly smelled like a blocked drain. Not going to be rushing back there.
3. Saints dominated the game and controlled the pace, on another day that would’ve been a comfortable win but we just didn’t take our chances and it had that feeling the inevitable was going to happen
4. Our fans made me laugh, spent ages singing every anti Pompey song going then immediately followed it with a song about prowse with absolutely zero irony or self awareness.
5. The open racism you hear the further north you go is shocking, had people on the train back openly saying things about “foreigners” and how cities looked like the Middle East. It depresses me massively what’s happening to this country
Absolutely stunk the league out this season, the batting line up was atrocious, but you can't say this hasn't been coming for some time now.
Terrible decisions by the selectors, poor selection of the overseas players, and over reliance on Vince in previous seasons, followed by not replacing him, meant we were always going in one direction.
What really annoys me is that next year it's an ashes at the Rose Bowl, if Hampshire had been top flight they could've tried to capitalise on increased interest in the game and got people into the ground for county, but lets be honest it's a hard enough sell getting people in for the top division, getting them in for the second division will be almost impossible

the new blue note obviously has jazz but it's also got some really great neo-soul too. Erykah Badu is playing there, as is Common and also the brand new heavies.
I'd actually love to see Shabaka who's playing there but it's around my missus birthday and she's got no interest in it so it's a no can do sadly

That 3-1 game was the game the archers effectively became a "standing" stand as everyone ignored the tannoy for the archers to sit down, and that was it.

To be fair if you’re talking older music my tastes are pretty varied, I’ve got crass records, cream records, Dylan and Donovan, a ton of reggae, bluebeat and ska, 90s indie and even a Kylie record in my collection.

I’m not sure how relevant my music is to most on here given I largely listen to jazz and modern soul when it comes to new music.
Shotters aside I’d imagine most people probably won’t have heard of the last few artists I bought the records of.
Think the ones I’ve bought this year have been sparklemami (sh*t name great music), Erykah Badu, Ezra collective, aja Monet, jasmin Myra and Brian Jackson
A few years back when myself and nickso19 were the bette noirs of the Southampton social media scene (mostly in the form of outright nicking a load of content from fanzines like on the march and the ugly) we floated the idea of doing a paper one again, sadly it never got anywhere.
Mind you I’m not sure how it would go down with the younger fans these days. The humour in the game/terraces has changed massively and people get really easily offended out of things that were just a laugh back in the day.
Stuff like OTM’s “fat bloke in a replica shirt”, a direct lift I did of the “skin him danny” cartoon where Wallace was literally skinning a man on the halfway line, and even the ins and outs, sent out online/younger fans into an absolute rage, and even had some calling for us to be banned from st Mary’s.
Shame really as I loved the fanzine growing up. Them and the music mags and fashion mags really shaped my cultural life and made football about so much more than football
