Live up North and sit next to a Burnely fan who has seen him play loads.
Says he needs two decent chances to score and his first touch isn't amazing, but is hard working, got an eye for a goal and is fast. Overall he thinks he's a great signing for us.

Sorry Grove tried to like and downed instead. I was there that day and he was unplayable.

Used to go there regularly, think around 97/98. Great venue, value and always a good night out.

Romiley - Stockport
Pros - friendly, safe, affordable house prices, decent state schools. On the cusp of the Peaks, 20 mins in to Manchester.
Cons - travelled a long way to be the only R in a village, only to find out MancR lives round the corner. Plus it rains loads.
Main bug bear is Northerners can’t wait tell you they don’t mind London but couldn’t live there. I loved London, love it here too.

Todd Kane Team Man...
at 10:18 21 Mar 2021
Kane gets in positions to receive the ball in threatening areas more than any right back we’ve had since Bards. His positional sense and engine are both phenomenal.
Kakay is such a different type of player you almost can’t compare them.
However, as we all know Kane’s delivery is usually hopeless. Presumably it’s his cast iron self belief/delusions of grandeur that enable him to keep having another go.
He clearly thinks he should be playing for a perm club, like others have said this looks like him angling for a move. He puts in so many crosses that his highlight reel for this season will be stunning. Be good if we could get 4 mill plus - and keep Chair/Dieng/Dicky/Willock for a bit longer.
Lastly, we’ve got big characters in the dressing room, some with even more experience than an all knowing 27 year old. I expect them to manage the situation as much as the gaffer.

Mood I’m in you might as well tell a 17 year old on a promise with Scarlett Johansen to take a rain check as he’s not mature enough to do himself justice.
What is football if it isn’t to dream that we might just ~ and that next year we might just as well.

Final play-off spot
at 18:56 20 Feb 2021
There is no reason we can’t nab the last play off spot. Since we’ve gone to 3 at the back we are fairly solid. We’ve got a strong midfield. Chair creates buckets of chances. A proven goal scorer and leader in Austin. Best of all we have a raft of exciting game changers coming off the bench. Well two. Is that a raft? Who knows? Funny work raft it’s not like a couple or a few.
We also have three first choice goalies - and luckily one of them is really good and playing out of his skin.
No harm dreaming, and I’m seeing us winning at Wembley!

This is what I’m asking myself. I play v low level Sunday league football. Every season or so I have a brain fart go to ground in the area and give away a pen. For next however many matches it’s constantly in my mind not to do it again. We do it every other week! What the fck is wrong with their heads!

Chimbonda in the gloves away at Scunthorpe on a sunny Spring day.
Mike Sheron - never ever challenged for a header, always tried to win a foul instead. Used to do my head in, only season ever in the Paddocks and he’d do the same thing right in front of me game after game always with an aggrieved expression when he didn’t get a decision. CHALLENGE for it!!!!!

All due respect Barton was bang average for us, tried to do too much and wasn’t good enough to execute. He can win the ball and play a short pass to a better player. He’s got a good engine. For us he tried to do a lot more than that and was found wanting. Far from being a seriously good player he ranged between average and woeful. Often outshone by Karl Henry. Plus he’s a super cnt, so there’s that too.

Some good points here.
Plus I had a really bad curry last night. At first I didn’t connect the dots, but the more I think about it the more I’m thinking that was probably Les’ fault too.

Sky made a big deal of it though post match all three presenters recognised the work QPR has done so it wasn’t the hatchet job some are making out.
The point is you are going to do something a bit different like not taking a knee in the current climate then sort out your messaging. It’s not rocket science.
at 08:31 19 Sep 2020
Still really badly managed by QPR.
Warburton banged on about no guidance, that’s a fair point but was clearly being evasive and just looks shifty. Coventry made it clear they wanted to we said no. Clearly for some reason we aren’t taking a knee. In the next interview we have to be clear why not. Otherwise it’s just pointlessly shit PR for the club. Can’t expect everyone out there to know the inner workings of our football club.
And to be clear I’ve no issues with them not taking the knee, couldn’t be prouder of the leading role QPR have taken in the community across the board/number of black coaches etc. Just sort out the messaging and give a straight answer.

Think there’s a good argument to rejig the coaching set up and bring in a new defensive coach. Can’t keep doing the same thing and having the same outcome game after game.
at 10:36 14 Sep 2020
He was great on Sat. Good range of passing and always looking to play forward.
That said it’s only one game and he’s been underwhelming for years. It might be that he’s one who benefits from not having a crowd in that in the past he’s picked safe options because he’s not wanted to risk losing possession.
V likely we have a year option on contract - we normally do - but wouldn’t want any increase on that till he’s proven that wasn’t a one off.

Warbs talks lockdown form, signings, contracts and defence – Interview
at 11:37 9 Sep 2020
Just listened to it now. When you mentioned the overdraft I winced😂😂 fair play for not making a meal about it. I’m more than capable of saying the same thing but would have then tied myself in knots ham fistedly apologising.
One take from a great interview was that he could afford to be a little less adversarial. It’s reasonable to raise the defence when the set up for set pieces is consistently poor. Plus I get he wants to protect players, but spitting the dummy out over the word mixed was off. Mixed is about as polite a way a journo could describe our goalies last year without descending in to Trump Fox News territory.
Still awesome interview and nice to have a manager who doesn’t retreat behind platitudes.

As far as I understand we don't get the 16 mill up front, its paid in installments, think that is fairly standard. Likely we will add a few more in. I think we are in fairly dire need of a defensive midfielder - if Ball gets injured/loses form we are in a world of pain - and we will hopefully bring a striker in on loan - and I'd like to see Kane moved on (if possible) and replaced.
