I’m pleased we got to the semi, it’s a great achievement, but I’m absolutely gutted to lose to Argentina. I can’t stand them. No class, you can see that at the end with their banner about the Falklands and their racist chanting after the France game. Putting all that aside, they were better and won the game fair and square.
We can talk about subs and sitting back, but even if we had chased a second goal there’s no guarantee it would have worked. Just look at previous games and how difficult it’s been for us and to think we’re going to punish the world champions? I assume that’s what Tuchel was thinking. Based on the previous game I would have had Saka on. Was he injured? But there we go, what do I know?
This England team have relied on fitness and individual moments of brilliance, not team cohesion. It’s a strange squad that limped through an even stranger tournament and have done very well to get to the semi finals. I’m glad it’s over now and I won’t be watching the final on Sunday. Don’t know if it’s too soon to ask, how are people feeling about Norway? I’m cautiously optimistic. Don’t want to underestimate them and I’m hoping England can keep up the momentum. Really looking forward to Saturday. 🏴 |

Wow! That was amazing!
First game that felt like a proper football match, in terms of fans and atmosphere. Really proud of England and fair play to Mexico, they really went for it.

There is a lot of unglamours work the Church does in my local community, I know this first hand because I volunteered at my local food bank and only found out it was run by the Church when I was doing the induction. Funny thing was, not single other volunteer was religious. It was during my time volunteering that I learned about all the other community work they do. So much going on that I never knew about and is so easy to over look when your focused on your own life. |

I feel the very opposite about our country right now, but I do agree with you about the Royal Family. Privilege is baked into their existence and entrenches inequality. It has no place in a modern society. |

I don't have an issue with commentators, I don't usually pay too much attention to them, whatever channel I'm watching.
With the BBC coverage, I'm not been feeling the pundits or hosts. Hard to explain, but the vibe just doesn't feel right. I think ITV give more of a feeling that there's an event taking place, just feels more like an occasion compared to what the BBC are offering.
I don't have an axe to grind with the BBC, just thought the coverage has been noticeably worse than it has been in the past. |

The BBC W/C coverage is awful. They'd have to try hard to make it worse. Best thing about the BBC at the moment is their radio. Really good music and podcasts etc, and their children's TV. Lot's of really good ad free educational show's. |

Does anyone know when QPR first sold replica kits? When I got into football as a kid they were the norm.
Ps: I got my first kit from intersport at Centre Court shopping centre in Wimbledon. Couldn't believe they had it! It was the 95/96 home kit, shame it was a terrible season. [Post edited 23 Jun 15:58]

I’ve also have picked up a rent-a-crowd vibe. There are defintily pockets of proper travelling fans, but it does look like they’ve padded it out many of the games with a neutral crowd.
