Chairs corners at Blackburn were right on the money . The commentators on the Blackburn ifollow mentioned them several times about how dangerous they were and how we had obviously done our homework on their keeper |

Really second this post .
For whatever reason , the QPR ifollow hasn’t really worked for me the last 2 away games so I have had to sit through 2 of the most unprofessional match commentaries imaginable. Especially yesterday. At one point the co-commentator, who I presume was an ex Norwich player was encouraging listeners to contact fans in the ground to start “Olé’s” every time Norwich completed passes …before half time .
The small amount I did watch of Tyler and Andy was on a different planet , professionaly and intellectually . |

I understood starting him at Blackburn as clearly RND is having his minutes managed due to injury etc , but starting Field again yesterday seemed like madness to me when your actually left back is fully rested .
And it was. Up there with the Esquerdinha choice against Ipswich [Post edited 30 Nov 15:11]

My own personal view was he was bloody awful when he came on.
No worse than Varane and perhaps slightly out of match fitness as he hasn’t featured much , but way off nonetheless |

Yeah apologies as I don’t like to come on here mid match and start bleating but this , as we all knew and suspected is disjointed, disinterested garbage .

Round and round and round we go .
The people throwing up distress flares on this message board don’t do it for their own ego as far as I can tell. They are trying to warn fans , without getting people in trouble of things they may find alarming and what other likeminded fans might be interested in .
The constant push back from the same old faces is frustrating .
You don’t have to agree or believe what’s said , of course , but the constant playground ‘politics of envy ‘, not liking that people know things you don’t know, is a little tiring .

Yep . Fair point .
But I don’t necessarily ‘think I’m right’.
It’s just plain to anyone watching him that he has really declined with the ball at his feet .
It might be a confidence thing , in which case you’d hope that the coaches and management (Kevin Betsy perhaps ) are working with him hard to restore confidence and get him passing a football from A to B ( Varane too, I hope , as I know you have a bee in your bonnet with him and he isn’t much better in my view) .
But there isn’t much sign that that’s happening .
That turn of phrase was just to emphasise that with the ball Sam Field , at this moment , is dreadful. It’s not what I want to say , and I know others simply don’t want to hear it , but you have to say what’s in front of your eyes. Or your just kidding yourself .
He has many other strings to his bow where he does very well and is a genuine asset , but ultimately if you can’t do simple things like, keep the ball with minimum opposition pressure, it doesn’t matter how many fans get upset that other fans are criticising him, he ain’t gong to play in his favoured position.
Especially with the Nourry broom sweeping all Nourry BC staff away . |

Divides opinion for sure and I can see why .
Defensively solid along with being intelligent with it. Read that scenario occurring last night which enabled him to make an incredible goal line - goal saving header .
Will always give his all and games like last night are his sort of game . Dig in , spoil and frustrate opponents . Worth his weight in gold at times like that .
But let’s have it right , as some people want to criticise one player , but get salty when ‘their’ player gets some clog, he has gone backwards as a ‘ball playing footballer’.
How many times last night did he give the ball away or kick straight into touch ? I thought he was playing for Saracens at one point .
And that’s why he is filling in out of position.
It might not be “his game”, but unfortunately it has to be to get his place back . Is Varane better ….not much , but a little I would say .
As much as some don’t want to read the negatives about Sam Field , you can’t deny what we can all see.
Don’t get me wrong , I’m a big fan but he’s not doing enough with the ball unfortunately and hasn’t for a while .
