Pretty fed up of hearing from onouha. Never wanted to sign for us and always pined for city as he complained about our facilities and squad.
Made a lot of money from us and threw his toys out the pram when les didn’t want to give him the same money anymore in the championship. Which was the right decision as always had a mistake in him and was poor on the ball. Always felt he needed a more experienced player to lead him like hill/dunne.

So frustrating.
at 10:00 10 Apr 2024

This season and last season have been horrible. Hopefully we can stay up, keep Marti and build an identity that means not signing/resigning past it players (begovic/adomah) or persisting with young players who won’t make the grade (Drewe, rendall, duke McKenna).
We were so close to getting over the line yesterday. Still need 2/3 points.
However, in the the dark days of ainsworth in October if you had offered me 4 points off relegation with four games to play I would have snapped your hand off.

Sometimes at this stage of the season it is about character. And jimmy Dunne has bags of it .

No Sam Field

I think this is now probably the first time in his qpr that field is not an automatic starter. Good to have competition for places. Also, think that long term field would be more suited to playing at centre back.

I think that the retirement home counts as her residence and you have three years to sell her property before having to pay capital gains tax on it
although no expert on this!

Richards…vanishing act again?
at 22:53 2 Jan 2024

After we won two games at the start of the season there was a podcast with Dobson. He was asked about richards. He said the club were there for him offering all the support he needs if he wants it. The inference being that he wasn’t being responsive to the support the club were providing.

An excellent balanced read.

I remember before signing one of the guys on the Not the top 20 podcast raved about this guy. Seemed sure he would go on to be a prem player. As soon as i saw him play regularly I thought he was just an above average championship centre back. Slow and sometimes ponderous. Did love his driving runs but they went missing during the warbs meltdown.

Our players quite disgracefully sold him down the river. Loads of injuries and poor attitudes.

Quite sad that many, including me, judged him so much on his tepid post match interviews- which shouldn't be the way.

Possession doesn’t necessarily win football matches
at 11:47 17 May 2023

Set pieces/ athleticism and being organised will get you a long way in the championship.
Luton are rightly being lauded but last night they pressed like mad, smashed it long to a very physical front two. Sunderland with some lovely players couldn't compete or defend the set pieces.

We have very few players who could play like luton. Maybe Dykes and Field.

Annoying he’s going to rangers as I feel Beale should take responsibility for willocks disappointing last six months. He rushed him back and flogged him to death when the first few games under him didn’t look great. Should have slowly introduced him back.
He’s definitely lacking confidence fitness wise and has had to shoulder too much of the responsibility alongside chair attacking wise for the team.
Doesn’t look to have a future with gaz who I doubt will tolerate his lack of defensive/team work. Is a shame as he’s a talented player but if he don’t sign a contract he has to go. And I don’t really blame him for not signing a contract. And I don’t blame for club as the players and agents hold all the cards in this situation.

Who exactly is "injured" and when WILL they return - THE TRUTH !!
at 14:35 21 Mar 2023

Roberts- Missed a world cup with this niggling injury. If he was faking it he would have been in Qatar.
Laird- History of muscle injuries
Chair- Very dependable not often out
Willock- Hasn't been fit for a year- broken down several times. Beale killed him getting back,
Balogun- No idea. Missed a lot of games for Rangers and Beale.
Richards- something definitely up with that guy. Plays 10 mins and not seen for 3 weeks.
Paal- not missed too many
Steff- Legs have gone- last season it looked liked whenever he sprinted his hammy was going
Amos- rushed back by Beale and had a horrifc time with injuries
JCS- Matt Rose incarnate. Have seen his frustration at being unable to complete games. Not faking it

Grew up as an Irish Catholic but am torn on him.

He shouldn't be abused for refusing to wear a poppy considering the past actions of the Brits.

However, dressing in a balaclava. You can't really defend that.

Said this to my pal. Pubs were packed. Weekend buzz and everyone was up for it. Most people have the next few days off too.

Was enjoyable watching all the other results come in today knowing we had done so well.

Welcome to Wrexham
at 08:23 9 Oct 2022

Normally love these type of documentaries but have found it hard to warm to this one. Think the American owners have alot of control editorially and is aimed at their audience. Some of the episodes have seemed like fillers. One was McElhaney presenting a popular American sports show.
Having said that must be exciting for the Wrexham fans. The most interesting part of the documentary was when they explained what the previous owners did; basically running the club Into the ground and hoping to sell the ground in a property deal.

Awful news. RIP Thomas. My whole family is Irish and that generation of Irish will always be my heroes and the people I look up to. Some brilliant characters, musicians, poets and people. Hope he’s up there somewhere playing the accordion and having the craic.

Uncz was excellent when he came on. When we broke I was screaming at him to cross of for Bonne but he used all his experience, took it in the corner and killed 2 minutes. He's mad 600+ appearances. Canny pro.

I felt Lumley got a free pass with many of us because he came through the youth team and we are all so eager for the youth to do well. Has made so many big mistakes over the last three years.
When we played Boro at home- and they equalised he was going mad and egging on the Boro fans. I said to my brother he would gift us a goal and he did when setting up willock perfectly. He lacks concentration.

Yoof v Experience
at 12:45 11 Jun 2022

Love a bit of experience at centre back (hill, r.dunne, Nelsen) or up top leading the line like a Zamora or furlong. Where you don't want that experience is at wingback and centre mid where we had stef, unz and Wallace and you need bundles of energy in the modern game. Also depends on the player and how they've looked after themselves. A 36 year old Paul furlong looked fitter than a 31 Charlie Austin.
