45 Points from 31 games 45 / 31 = 1.45 points per game If it was over the 46 game season we would have got 67 points ie 46 x 1.45 = 66,7 pts So with the current table that is 8th or 9th However his impact is greater than that ie he took over a squad bereft of any confidence and in appalling form and yet still managed to get this squad to an 8th or 9th position. If he has the whole season with a few new additions and two or three out the other way, who knows what he could achieve. You would be assuming he could get vastly improved results considering he managed to get a relegation doomed squad to perform so well so quickly. The great thing for us having Marti, know finally makes us an attractive proposition for up and coming players with talent to come to, both on permanent deals and loans alike, and the right sorts a la Hayden, Cook etc so could see some great incomings in the summer transfer window. The futures bright the futures Marti !!! |

It hasn't worked out for him here. Like others have said, many here were simply conveniently injured or simply unavailable for selection. Several managers have picked him. He is young. I was still a boy myself when I turned 30. But as a footballer today, you do need to ride out the criticism and play your best game. Maybe he has so far found the abuse demotivating and has been lacking as a result. He will move on somewhere, probably league one, and hope it goes well for him. |
| Forum Thread | How far ahead do QPR need to be for you to feel safe from losing !! at 13:32 28 Apr 2024
Bloke near me at match, still felt we could lose when we went three nil up in 74th minute. Leeds had done nothing all game, we dominated and were great at the back, yet he still felt with 15 minutes or so to go, we could lose. I think I was OK after about 60 minutes at two nil. I know it's QPR but four goals in fifteen minutes - am not that pessimistic myself !!! |

Yes thanks again Boston for putting me forwards for that honour. I thought about for ten milliseconds and then decided Mark Prince was far better qualified to deal with these idiots than me. I only deal with Numpties !!! |

Everything about this man is super impressive You never get over losing a loved one so young and especially in the dreadful circumstances Kiyan passed. But to make a massive positive out of an awful negative is incredible as many of us just simply could not. He is an inspirational speaker no doubt and his graciousness to a few idiotic morons who attach themselves to Leeds United, well you expect no less from Mark. As you say - total class. |
| Forum Reply | Most Important Goal of the Season at 06:39 28 Apr 2024
In terms of quality the Dozzell goal was goal of the season. Problem was Andre scored it and practically every other moment of every other game he played, he contributed zilch. Jimmy is a fans favorite. His goal was massively unexpected, massively brilliant and massively important in our revival. His switch to right back was a big reason why we avoided relegation. Baby boom in Feb 2015 of QPR kids I am born in the month of September which is where most babies are born. Think it might have something to do with Father Christmas, whoever he is !!! |

Sky use Mackie mainly but also Charlie and Ainsworth so you could hear his opinions. He has done a few gigs around here. And according to an old boy around here he still plays local league football. I didn't pester him but he often seen in a certain cafeteria with his good lady wife. A south American beauty. The lads got it tough Am sure he is relaxing out of the limelight. Moneywise am sure he is set for life. Punditry, music and still playing football keeps him busy and seems to have a decent family life perhaps. I would say yes his mental health suffered during his time with us. Let's face it,he was a terrible manager here and some of his methods were questionable. But he has obviously still got a lot to keep him busy and he is settled with his life. Being a fan of QPR, and a reasonable man, sure he could now reason the job was beyond him but sure he secretly pleased another has taken the club into calmer waters. The stress is over for Gareth. He tried and failed here but he gave it a go and that's that. Good luck to the man. He is fine, I am sure. |

The court case is a total mystery. Happened four years ago in different country to where he was being prosecuted. Did not even attend the court hearing, possibly will avoid prison even if court decision not overturned ie Belgians jails too full. And possibly not the person that hit the injured man. Ie conflicting witness accounts etc. Really we should throw the book at him if he is guilty. But the football business is another matter. Our best asset and our most creative player. Makes the team tick. If he is jailed, highly likely we will lose him next season. To be fair, if it was an opposition player, we would not be too happy coming up against him as we would have assumed the player should be banned. Compared to Mason Greenwood - I not know the final outcome of the case here, but was he never found guilty of any charges and he was vilified by all and lost his career whilst investigations were happening. Ilias was found guilty. But I am same as everyone else which is probably poor on my part - I want him here next season, as we keep Ilias then we keep Willock also and with Andersen in there also, could be an interesting season coming up. Very bad on my part if he is a convicted felon with aggravated assault but my morals seem to go out the window when it comes to QPR... As the new saying goes these days MY BAD !!! Mathematically impossible ! PaddyPower and Betfair offering this price now. But you just know sadly some mug punter, is going to hand over the cash. It's called exploiting the vulnerable. An addicted gambler doesn't sometimes read the form or possibilities. This really should be an illegal !!! [Post edited 27 Apr 10:59]

It's beyond reason the difference from Ainsworth this season to Marti. We were sleepwalking into league one. We were likely get relegated next season also How can one man make such an incredible difference. Next season is our chance with this man at the helm. If we get Eze money too and spend wisely and we have leg room within FFP next year, who knows but yep top man is Marti.. What a hero !! [Post edited 26 Apr 23:23]

If we win, say with a dodgy decision in last few minutes of the game, do we believe Leeds fans will remain calm. There has always been an element of people that attach themselves to Leeds fanbase that exists for the thuggery. Am sure tonight, we will witness a massive police presence, perhaps a number of mounted police, although that's debatable after this week's earlier incident Do we feel it's best to rush home or wait some time, all who are getting to the game by public transport. I never go to a game these days thinking I could be mixed up in the middle of a bit of nonsense but if any game is likely, this is probably the one. If I was a minimum wage steward in the away end, think I may wait to have my evening supper until after the match !!!!!! [Post edited 26 Apr 15:53]
