A difficult game to sum up. Chances for both teams, Rs edged the first half but conceded too much space in the second. They seemed to lose confidence after the equaliser although Luton had caused problems before then. We gave the ball away too much and stopped making tackles.

We were lucky to get the win, although with better finishing we could have scored 4 or 5. Frey's goal via a handball (I haven't seen the replay yet) and a freakish second suggest the football gods were on our side for once. Luton had 18 shots to our 15. Once we lost control of midfield Marti was slow with the substitutes. It was crying out for more energy and mobility up front once Frey tired and more aggression in midfield. Colback's experience was useful though he was some way off match fit. Lloyd was excellent. I'd have considered bringing him on against Watford ahead of Kolli as he has more physical presence and runs at defenders with strength, although Kolli may be more skillful.

This wasn't one of our dreadful performances but not as good as the Watford game. The ref let a lot go though I thought he did for both teams so maybe even handed, but there were some incidents I'd like to see again.

Hard to pick a MotM, maybe Morgan deserved it from Sky, or Dunne.
