Hello from Slough 16:14 - Nov 8 with 3960 viewsMark44stfc

Hi Guys,

Slough fan here......firstly, I cannot wait for the game against a league one side. A chance for us to show off our new community facility and hopefully sell out

This is the furthest we have been since 2004 when we lost to Yeading having beaten Paul Merson's Walsall in the previous round. Yeading went on to play Newcastle in the 3rd round. In fact, this will be our 7th time in the 2nd round and we are yet to get to the 3rd!!

I really hope that the game gets TV too

On your allocation, I obviously cannot speak as I am only a supporter but I heard somewhere there was a minimum of 15% which would be 300. How many do you think you would bring down?

Hi Mark, your pre-match thoughts are very welcome, as would be your assessment when the dust is settled (do artificial pitches create dust?!)

In terms of away fans, we have quite a few exiles who'll travel from areas closer to Slough than Rochdale, but any allocation under 500 would more than likely be sold out; the one fly in the ointment might be travel restrictions depending on when the game is played

Poll: What are you planning to do v Newport

Hello Mark, would you have preferred to have drawn a club that's top of league two, full of history and who are knocking out 'bigger' clubs from a league above them?

Doubt it.

Anyway, to get the thread back on track, I can only echo D_Alien's comments. I think we took in the region of 500-600 to Stevenage many years ago, but that was on a Saturday, which made it more accessible.

If the game is on Friday night, it will reduce the chances of a lot of people being able to travel.

If it is Saturday/Sunday lunchtime, I can see any allocation being easily sold out.

When I was your age, I used to enjoy the odd game of tennis. Or was it golf?

May I be the first (today) to say, "Fook off Chalky"

Our friend from Slough is encouraged to repeat this standard riposte.

Hi Mark,

looking forward to the game. Hope its on TV I could not make It down south that weekend.

£72k each would be nice too with more to boot for the winners.

Your team will not be underestimated especially at your place on a 3G pitch.

He probably would have, as theres more of a chance Slough would beat a league two team.

Gutted the game will not be on BBC two but waiting anxiously for the BT sport announcement

If we got the Monday evening game we would be in the 3rd round draw :)

In terms of drawing League One vs League two I don't see much difference.....both are professional teams that should beat us comfortably...I guess Wycscum could have been better though ;)

Better bragging if they can beat a team from league 1 than a run of the mill league 2 club

Titles are given out in June every year in bury. Year in, year out. No wonder fook off Chalky's lot won't win one .
