Sorry to bother you on here but I just want to let you know that Wood Fired (formerly Benjamin's Italian) will be open 1-3 on matchdays (Saturdays only).
We will only be serving personal pizzas, roughly 9'.

I enjoy a takeaway pizza as much as the next person, but the boxes are of the type that'd very quickly fill up available bins

That could be the next big marketing thing. Wrap them in tin foil and slip it down the front of your coat in winter. Acts as a body warmer til you get in the ground and you can munch it when you get to your seat/stand (as long as the topping doesn't slide off en route).
As for the social responsibility thing - with tents now being deemed to be "disposable" (the amount of clobber left behind at festivals these days beggars belief), good luck with hoping everyone will hold on to a pizza box til a bin pops into view. I would have thought the pizza boxes were cardboard, and recyclable. Stuff from the chippy is usually put in polystyrene containers , and served with plastic forks. I’d be more worried about that waste, there will be more of it, and worse for the planet. Maybe the club should be have recycling bins, instead of all the waste from the kiosks/ what people bring going into landfill | |
