Oh for crying out loud, somebody else help him...

No. Judd has it right. The full £30m is for lost gate receipts of which the first £15m is a guaranteed payment for both League One and League Two clubs (regardless of actual loss) and the remaining is to be allocated.

You can chastise all you want DA. I stand my ground on this one. There is no evidence from the story that we can double dip. Only time will tell

From the BBC article it appears there are three pots. From the first we will get 375,000. From pot two we will get an as yet undetermined amount based on the 'lost gate revenue share calculation'. I cannot see this element being that much as we will have one of the lowest average attendances of all of the 48 clubs in Leagues One and Two. TVOS might be able to tell us where we stand in this regard. We can also apply for money from the third point. So the figure of 375,000 will be a minimum but how much extra who knows?

Which season are they using for the average attendances?

I can tell you ours and the other teams in the divisions we've played in, but all other divisions will be available online.

Undoubted knowledge? Or just the application of common sense and using my brain?

Here's the averages for L1 for 2019/20:

https://www.worldfootball.net/attendance/eng-league-one-2019-2020/1/

What will also be of interest - given that the payments are intended to cover the period when no fans were allowed into grounds over two different seasons (end of 19/20, start of 20/21) is how those clubs who were promoted or relegated will be treated. For instance, will Wycombe's payment be based on their current status, or a mixture of L1/Championship status

There's going to be plenty more issues that crop up before we're done with this

That's a good point. Last season? Hopefully they will be able to post a transparent formula which they have used.

Depends how the calculator works. It might be, say, 10% of all receipts. So we’d get 10% of X and Sunderland would get 10% of a bigger X.

The percentage would have to be calculated taking all clubs figures into account.
