Pies 6 quid? Kinel. Have they gone up? 21:56 - Jan 25 with 6859 views_Windydale

I must admit the steak pie was quality in the main stand. 6 fikin quid though? Have they gone up? Premier league pies are cheaper. I think 4-50 5 quid is fair.

Tried a cheese and onion pie today (£5.50 without peas).
In pastry and content, delicious and enjoyable in every aspect.
Overpriced? Yes.
Buy again? Only if circumstances meant I couldn't be fed elsewhere.
That said, the offerings were selling well at the Sandy kiosk .

Oh for the days when the fighting fund ran the t bars.

Ah, Bovril/Oxo and a meat pie…..
Wasn’t there something of a furore at one stage though when the Fighting Fund switched suppliers from Hilton’s to Nicholsons?

i tried a steak and potato yesterday for the first time since new supplier. about 230pm in the sandy, yeah it had real meat, but thick and dry, nothing special. and really not worth £5.50... the lad is simply refusing to buy at that price, and i doubt he is alone in this decision, and i wont be bothering again.

Just buy hollands, drop the price, and make it affordable. all these things do impact project 5000. i think we all agree that pricing of a match visit is already high, it does need to be thought about.

If there's no more than £1 profit as you suggest on a simple snack we may as well just pack it all in now, the reality is theres far far more profit in it for anyone charging an obscene £6 for a pie. When clubs like United with their overheads are charging like £1.50 less per pie and clearly still making a profit someone somewhere is clearly taking the piss.

"If there's no more than £1 profit as you suggest" No, I didn't suggest that, but don't get too hooked on my numbers as fixed.

Do you think a distributor might offer a lower selling price and take a lower profit per pie for higher volume sales at Old Trafford?

I don't see a pie as a simple snack either.

As long as the pies aren’t in a nutshell…

Sounds like some MasterChef style 'elevation' :-)
