A really bad performance against a really poor side.

Started well and played some lovely football for the 1st 10-15 mins, maybe overplayed a bit for the perfect goal, but unfortunately it is a 90mins games and the rest was poor.

All the goals came from mistakes and poor goals to let in.

Saito, Dunne, very poor, with Bennie looking maybe unfairly out of his depth, but the injury crisis dictates the options and the line up and the changes as the bench looked weak today.

Ending up with a midfield 4 of Vale, Smyth, Morgan, Saito is not going to win you games but it is what it is.

Surprised Stephen did not change it earlier, by bringing in Kolli earlier and go for 2 up to top.

Smyth needs to stop giving away cheap fouls.

Another strange one today was against Coventry when they had a corner we kept 3 up, but when we went 3-1 down we brought everybody back which baffled me a bit

In summary poor performance and a missed opportunity to push for the play offs against a really poor side.

Hope Madsen injury is not serious as that will be a massive miss as most good things go through him.

MOM …can’t honestly pick one.

Yes we had 2 good chances early in the game but did not take them we make mistakes get punished so credit them they took the chances but we were very poor overall. Big disappointment we are missing the key players and hope madsen injury not bad one. The third goal killed the game but we never really looked like scoring in the 2nd half.

Something has to be done about the half time team talk, he must send them to sleep.

Looked like a set of footballers rather too fond of championship football and the contract that comes with it.

Agree with most of that, but I certainly didn't think Blackburn were poor. For most of the game, they schooled us, if anything, and were comfortable winners - a watching Martian would have had us as battling relegation. Which, I'm afraid, we still might be.

If JS says anything else, he's part of the problem (which, for me, he probably is).

Poll: A little over halfway through the season, where do you see us finishing?

Think you have hit the nail on the head there. Been thinking the same thing for quite a long time now.

On the basis of today’s performance there is something in that . Promotion would mean most of those players would move on or be bit part players . They played like they didn’t want to push upwards but just see out the season .. pathetic

Eee, in my day the players would have two pints of bitter and a Woodbine at HT. Perhaps they could give it a try.

They clearly wanted it more from the first whistle. Also, they seem to have appointed a decent manager, going by his record with Northern Ireland.

That was truly pathetic today. We were 2-1 down after half an hour yet never looked like getting back into it. Stephan has repeatedly shown he's very slow to react if things don't go to plan. He's a very average manager.

Mediocre manager providing mediocre outcomes. Also, too many timid shot-shy performances that are just plain dull to watch irrespective of the result. I don't think I'm wrong in saying it feels like for every decent entertaining enjoyable game there are at least four absolute stinkers.. it's just dull and a waste of time/money watching this shower labouring under a duff uninspiring manager. I can't see I'll bother with another game this season - I've seen enough and had enough.

From WLS - "Julien Stephan does not believe an ankle injury Nicolas Madsen picked up during QPR’s home defeat against Blackburn is a cause for alarm."

That probably means he will be out for the season

couple of times in my playing days we’ve had a lack of players and ended up with a son of a team-mate who’s meant to be the best player in the boys team. that’s how Bennie’s inclusion felt today. unfortunately he’s nowhere near ready - like playing with 10 men. either smyth or kolli should’ve started.

That third goal, where the smallest man on the pitch had a free header and Vale’s corner in the second half summed up the day .
Abysmal second half . Another opportunity to get closer to the top six six pissed away .
Depressing.

Absolutely awful today. There are so many games where Stephan’s in game management is so poor. We had our subs ready to come on for about 10 mins today. We go 3-1 and we have to wait until the usual 60 mins when the cycling bloke gives the nod to make the subs. It’s just pathetic. Don’t start me on Bennie. I don’t know what this obsession is with Australian players. I can probably name about 5 good Aussie players. We have gone on a Dale Winton supermarket sweep there in the last 12 months. I don’t know what the fascination is because I’m not seeing it. Our centre mid ended up with Vale and Morgan which will not win you any game. Makes no sense with how light our squad is in that area of the pitch to send Field out on loan. The amount of injuries in attacking areas is a joke. Kone seems to be getting worse. Saito is having a really poor season. The goalie fills me with no confidence. We continue to play a centre back at right back. Our team is so unbalanced. Nourry’s influence on this squad is very worrying.

The subs being delayed might well have been down to the injuries to first Madsen, and then Koné.

“Kone seems to be getting worse”.

Not sure I’ve ever seen it. He must be living off those early goals with the fan base, because overall, he’s been poor ever since. Lyndon Dykes was a better hold up striker, and that’s saying something.

All I see is a half-arsed jog to close defenders down, a regular token jump with defenders - with little-to-no attempt to win the ball- and a supposed hold-up game that rarely sticks. I’m not sure what he’s actually good at.

Poor today, they took their chances, we created nothing. Blackburn's no.25 rang rings round us and being their smallest player headed in the killer 3rd goal. Can't understand why Smyth did not start today on the right as Bennie had a bit of a mare, and really should have been subbed at half time. Hope Madsen injury not too bad as it did not look good.

Blackburn were better than I'd expected. They were well organised when defending getting in crucial blocks, won a lot of 50:50 balls and attacked with precision when we let them. Not sure about a new manager bounce but I guess they were glad to be rid of Ismael, who would have made sure they were fit and ran hard.

In the first half we created pressure in their defence, but only the one beautifully taken goal by Saito. After they scored the third early in the second half we lost the plot. The passing was woeful, clumsy first touches, poor decision making (especially Smyth) and we were slow to the loose balls.

The subs were as good as Stephan could manage but the effect was to disrupt us even more.

Bennie was poor. I don't want to be hard on a young lad, but in the several opportunities he's had he hasn't shown why the coaches have so much faith in him.

Cook and Dunne seemed at fault for all 3 goals, so with Cook subbed off and Edwards moved into the middle this maybe one of the last times we see Steve.Cook start for us. He's been a great servant. For the first 2 goals there was no protection in front of the back 4. Not sure if Hayden went missing, but with Madsen playing further forward (as we would want) the defence was exposed.

Any bright spots? Not really, but maybe JCS on the bench is promising, but seven of 100% fit will he get in the team? And possibly the worst blow of all is if Madsen is out for any length of time.

The rest of the season may be grimmer than we hoped.

I predicted 1-3 this morning with my mates it was a classic QPR result

I thought for the first 20 minutes Blackburn were absolutely dire and we should have taken the lead. But Kone was having an absolute stinker from the off and we had no real final ball.

All of their goals were very poor. RND had a terrible match and that meant Cook was getting pulled to the left and it was leaving a massive gap between him and Dunne which they exploited. The second goal god know what Saito was doing in the 6 position. Overall 1st half it felt very much live Madsen v Blackburn as the team was having a stinker.

2nd half very surprised not to see changes at half time, Hayden was very lucky to stay on the pitch and I thought we might have seen a change there and I would have hooked both wingers and put Smyth and Kolli on.

Third goal killed the game only Dunne knows why he just watched the ball and did not pick up his man.

A couple of other thoughts.

Whilst there might have slightly more grass on the pitch today it was incredibly bobbily and ball control throughout was really poor.

Bennie had a tough game

First game in a while where the defence have not had a big striker and could just head and clear and it really showed the weakness in the Dunne, Cook partnership.

The only real positive from the game, was Harvey vales set pieces (bar the sliced corner) after Madsen went off. I think he is the only player we have that can whip a corner or a free kick in at pace and really him and Madsen should share set pieces a bit more in my view

The bench is really bare hone. it comes to alternative attacking threat that could change a game, bar Kolli there is nothing.

Would be lovely to know why everyone expects this season. We aren’t going up, we aren’t going down (finally) - we are riddled with injured to our midfield and attack. Today was bad but the manager got experience for a young player and two of the experiences CBs had a bad game whilst BBurn were clinical. Go with Kolli next game sure, but this isn’t the end of the world
