Morrison going out on loan 13:02 - Jan 13 with 8484 viewsEuroRanger

Seems a bit harsh to me, has looked decent when he's played. I guess Stephan is not a fan and now that Edwards is back in, he might not have a spot.

Leaves us a bit thin at the back, though, doesn't it? Are we going to rely on Smith / Akindeleni if we get a couple of injuries?

Morrison going out on loan makes sense for both player and club. The lad needs games to have an outside chance of breaking into the World Cup squad. The club has decent cover at CB and needs to recuperate some money after spending handsomely on Ronnie.

As for Vale, I could've seen it a few weeks ago but with Chair, Poku and Saito now injured, we're suddenly a little thin in wide areas. Clearly, the club didn't sign enough midget number 10s!

Let's not forget that Morrison is only 22. Still plenty of time for him to mature as a player.

I quite like him if I'm honest.

The age thing is a good point. A lot of CB’s reach their peak between 27-30 as long as they stay injury free. I haven’t rated Morrison as highly as others on here -his concentration levels are very suspect. But a decent level L1 loan, should help his development no end.

Morrison did have 30 games in League One for Wigan, the season before we signed him. In total, it looks like he has just under 70 appearances in senior English football, so another maybe 20 games out on loan at a good standard would benefit him and us.

A mere flesh wound - AKA, contact injury these days.

Vale's being written off far too early. He needs a proper run of games to give us a better idea of where he's at - the catch being that he can't get in the team because he hasn't had a run of games.

Anyone know what his actual best position is?

If fit, I'd still rather he played than that fkin waste of space Dembele.

AMC is his best position; we have many contenders for that. LB or even LWB, he is not.

The excuse may be Morrison for the WC, but this is a message: you will be sold, and you're out, EDB style.
I think Morrison is decent, but they feel he's done.

I would be surprised if we get £1m for him, but if we do, sell him. In the meantime its a loan to improve his profile and sale price.

I would say Vale will be sold in some sort of deal with another player, this way we can pay Chelscum almost nothing of that 50%.

You know, £6m for Varane and Vale.
Varane in the deal was priced at £5.8m and Vale £200k so, Chelscum only get £100k and a signed photo of Anton Ferdinand =] =] =]

zzzzzzzzzz

I think he's a bit unlucky there to be honest. I like him as a player. He's 22.

Never knowingly right.

Not seen a challenge that bad or violent since the German keeper on the French bloke at the World Cup.

Morrison might only be 22, but he could easily have killed that bloke. I called the Aberdeen General earlier, thankfully he's off life-support.

Ludicrous penalty - just bundles across him and falls over

If thats what qualifies for a red card these days, im begining to feel sorry for defenders. The attacker runs across him.

Accidental foul, probably has to be a penalty but not even a yellow if you ask me.

Why stop now, just when I'm hating it
