1. A 19-hour day. Pretty much everything that could go wrong for my group did. We had late trains diverted all around South West London, were chucked off trains twice (!!!!) which inexplicably stopped at a station and didn't carry on, only had 45 minutes in the pub before the game (should have been 2 and a half hours), and er, we lost....
2. Wrexham Lager is shite. Suffered that on the train back.
3. The blue kit has to go.
4. Matsuki should never have been taken off for Fellows. Edozie was just Edozie. Matsuki is the only one of those 3 who is up to the level we need.
5. Why do some fans clap the team off after games like that? [Post edited 20 Sep 9:01]

4. Our fans made me laugh, spent ages singing every anti Pompey song going then immediately followed it with a song about prowse with absolutely zero irony or self awareness.

Chester is indeed lovely. Wish we could have gone there.
Wrexham is a grim place, though the Fat Boar was a decent enough boozer. Just would have liked longer in there.
I got some chips after the game from a burger van where I was served by a lady with hardly any teeth. I would not have wanted to get on the wrong side of her.
A hugely frustrating day. Still, so long as we win the next one....... | |

One of the trains we were chucked off was from Crewe to Wrexham, and we had to get off at Chester, as the driver seemed to have decided he had worked enough for a day. That went down well.
In hindsight we should have decided at that point to drink in Chester, but we had agreed to meet a group of mates in Wrexham. | |

Depends on the context I suppose. Didn't go yesterday, but driving through Birmingham for.our game was very depressing. It was dirty, impoverished, beggars, a few pigs hanging from shop fronts, boarded up buildings, graffiti. It did indeed look like a 3rd world country. That'd just the truth isn't it? But context is everything. |  |

1) had no real issues with the train , left parkway at 6:38 and got into Wrexham at about 12:25 . Having said that we did get an earlier train from Euston which ended up being delayed 30 mins / if we had got out original train (09:33 from Euston ) things may have been different. The diversions after Woking / before Woking reallly are pain adding an extra 30 mins or so to the journey.
2) thought Wrexham was ok for a small northern town , avoided the spoons pub and found a cheap pub down one of the ally ways . Will go there next season if neither of us go up or down .
3) we aren’t even going to make the playoffs if we can’t keep clean sheets . Or away form needs to improve as we can’t keep relying on our home form. Very pleased for JWP it’s proving a very good bit of business bring him back
4) lots of empty seats in the away end again .
5) agree about the blue kit - I’m surprised how many blokes over 18 actually wear it . | |

Regardless of how like gold dust they are.

1-Drove up. Birmingham was a car park !
2- No network at the ground so couldn’t get my digital ticket loaded ! Loads of people wandering around like the first scene out of saving private ryan trying to get a signal. Steward said sorry it happens every home game !!
3- Linesman our side was shocking for both sides !
4- How did the Wrexham bloke not get a yellow on Scienza !
5- Away form is a pain, game should have been wrapped up in the first half, Fellows fault for there 2nd goal, we are fooked if Larin gets injured on international duty.

1. You have to plan things in advance Pat, check the South Western rail site for rail works to London and also assume that the trains from London are going to be chaos, thats why I rarely go up north of Birmingham up there and back on the day.
I enjoyed around 2 hours in a couple of pubs by Chester Station, another hour or so in a delightful pub the other side of the ground from the town centre beforehand, then another couple of hours in the Old Fat Boar after the game
2. There are 3 versions of Wrexham Lager, the 4% version is as you say Shite, the Wrexham Pilsener at 4.6% is much better and there is also the Wrexham Export at 5%, the Old Fat Boar pub had all three on tap.
3. The Blue kit is awful
4.Fellows should have come on for Scienza at half time or perhaps either Dobbin, rather than Edozie
5. I don't know, the moment the final whistle went I was off up the pub. |  |

First Scienza gets kicked around and either shrinks from the game or goes off like Saturday. I'm sure our opponents all know this and target him now. Kick him a few times and he'll cease to be a threat, and frankly, it works.
Secondly Peretz makes one big error every week. Sometimes it costs us a goal and sometimes we get away with it. This week he could have done better with their second. Sooner or later we are going to turn to Ramsdale. |  | | |

Peretz was an improvement on McCarthy and Bazunu, but I'd feel more confident about our chances of keeping a clean sheet against Pompey if Ramsdale were in goal. When we face Pompey it will be half a year since Peretz last kept a clean sheet in a regular season league game. Ironically, it was only because Bazunu kept a clean sheet that we avoided defeat against Pompey the last time they came to St Mary's. [Post edited 21 Sep 14:39]

He belted back and was lucky to get away with that one. Was it just over the bar or he tipped it over?
It was certainly a damn sight closer than Larin when he lobbed the keeper in the 1st half and was way out

He’s definitely not the keeper he was last season but sorry he was great last season . When he first came here he was at fault for a couple of goals but then went on a superb run not making mistakes and making very good saves keeping us in games and commanding his box . As I said he’s been affected this season I admit but to say he wasn’t very good last season is just plain wrong . | |
