I never wanted him in the first place and struggle with the idea that of all the available managers he was the one to be considered. He’s been an extremely divisive appointment with the vast majority of match going blues not wanting him anywhere near the club, yet he seems to be above criticism due to his friends in the media. The similarities with Redknapp are spot on.
He’s a nasty, petty little man who has fallen out with players and had thrown a few under the bus this season, E.g. Digne and Richarlison.
He’s going nowhere though and has already spent 30 million plus this transfer window.
It’s going to be a tough rest of the season - I just hope the quality of Richarlison, DCL, and Gray can get them over the line. | | | |
